Brownlow 2024 Brownlow Medal Count - Congrats Patrick Cripps!

Let's go back to 1924 the start of the Brownlow. All games were on at 2pm, you couldn't take a transistor radio to the game and even if you could, ABC 3LO/774 and all other stations hadn't commenced operating and TV didn't happen for another 32 years. It's logical that the umpire was the best...

    Jack Ginnivan - Redemption arc

You scan a BigFooty thread and the vast majority of posts, you can see reason, even if you disagree with most of the posts and then lo and behold, a zinger turns up, you re-read it - yup, they actually said that. This is one of these. Last week we had Jason McCartney fined $20k for coming into...

    One game suspension exemption

If we are going down the path of radically altering the award, let's start with the voting system and 3, 2 and 1. Apart from Isaac Heeney yesterday possibly, no player is three times as good as the third player. The Brownlow voting and suspension policy both need to be reviewed.

Game Day Dogs on a Mission V Hawks Elimination Final MCG 7.40pm 6/9/24

Credit where it is due and I think any team would have struggled against the Hawks tonight. What we brought was ordinary and dire with no plan b. Time to regroup and understand why in a controlled manner.

Sorry to intrude. If you sack Ken, who do you get to replace him? You need two or three potential candidates to get a good result but I don't see anyone knocking,?

    AFL Final tickets fiascoes

Each year we hear the AFL say things will be better next year and next year rolls around and sure as eggs, it is a fiasco yet again. Ticketek and Ticketmaster say lessons will be learned but nothing happens as they count their coin. Barcodes not valid, timeouts, a virtual queue of thousands...

MVP Ching Rd 24: Dogs d GWS

That's correct and it is a probably an oversight on my behalf so I will blame the extended trip home. Honestly, you can throw a blanket over about 16 of them and the difference between 5 vote and a HM is exceedingly minimal this week. Liam Jones was another who I wanted to give votes to and both...

Review Bulldogs secure 6th place with a huge win against the Plastics.

To MaxiBont - An apology Late last night I said that it was going to be a week at least in reply, however wiser, minds than mine (or a lucky spin of the wheel of doom) have proved me wrong. I am so glad to have been proven wrong in such a long time.

Love it to be a fine but it is a week at a minimum depending on the chooklotto wheel at AFL HQ - Very happy to be proved wrong.
