Not the thread, but it’s very bad out there. For a lot. It’s just the gap between the haves and the have nots is ever widening.

Kind of related, but expect Melbourne Storm to be the big beneficiary of no Melbourne Finals this weekend.
In the juicy 4.05 Saturday twilight spot too.

I don’t think it’s so much about those factors as it is access.
There are countless finals prior to Friday night that in sheer demand would have got more through the gates, what they continue to improve (at a freaking slow rate) is how people access them and ensuring it is closer to capacity...
One thing I really noticed Friday night was the amount of space and ease of access in the Olympic Stand compared to the Shane Warne Stand.
I was with my Bulldogs friend in her wheelchair thinking it would be hell, but there is barely any standing room ‘stands on that side and the walkways are...
Let’s forward think and build a 60,000 in Brisbane, another 60,000 in Sydney, figure out how to turn AO and Marvel into 60K and become FIFA compliant at the same time while having space for organic growth over next 20 years.

The problem with prelim is it’s a big step up in pricing. $200 a ticket makes the neutral more than likely to stay away, obviously not so much an issue for AFL Reserve and MCC members.

The broad neutral appeal and being the only Victorian game counteract these downward forces.
I think 90K is a sure thing.

Is there a small chance of Dogs/Hawks going over 95K with the additional W tickets?
Not many finals hit the 95K mark.

I did wonder this re the Support at Hawks V Dogs. You would think that Hawks would bring more supporter’s, but you’d think the neutrals in the AFL Reserve and MCC will be behind the Doggies?
Nothing against hawks, but I don’t think the neutral has an appetite for more hawthorn success already...
But why?
It doesn’t make any sense. If you have the supply and you have the demand - take the dam $$
Makes me really wonder if there is 100K there GF day

And again we will see 92-93K
There should literally be no reason all finals at the G shouldn’t be able to get in touching difference of 100K.

Is ten tickets a little over generous for a match up that drew 87K to a final in 2016?
Only game in Melbourne will ensure 94+ I’d assume.

Agree.
This crowd would have been sub 20K without the dusty effect. I think we as a base knew what Dusty 300 was and that will be remembered as his day.
Worst season in history, dead rubber and local footy finals on a Saturday arvo in full swing.
2/10 of our surrounding seats could go due to...
50% of your membership base is from outside of the greater Geelong area.
Your club choose to play home games at the MCG ala Easter Monday and Collingwood games but don’t let the facts stand in the way of a good story.
Tell me which final lives rent free in your head? It must have been 2017...
Amazes me how they change games tomorrow to reduce overlap for foxtel, but won’t move them to ensure more people get to see their team.

Fremantle will likely overtake Richmond and Finish in the top 4 for home crowds.
Considering they will likely finish out of the eight they have to be the strongest performer of the year overall.

This actually puts 1 million through the gate for the Tiges just within striking distance. Probably not, but very close.
Milestone games aside, as we also set a new precedent for what a milestone game can be, to hit even close to 1 million through the gate in our worst season W/L record season...
I think the fixture will hurt.
Local footy finals are in full swing so our group of ten, I think two can actually go.
I think 30-35K is around the mark considering if it wasn’t for Dusty it would be looking at sub 20K.

This.
Brisbane get so underrated for their pull in Victoria.
The huge crowd against the Tiges in 2019 of 76K, other Richmond fans will beg to differ, but there was 20K of them there.

You would think that the Swans supporters would ensure it’s nearly a lock out? They can pull 10-15K in Melbourne to help cover the dons fans who are done?

Richmond has just come off not only a dynasty but really a decade of sustained success. They have just had their worst year since 1912.
Have some Richmond crowds been terrible? Absolutely, but we still are the 4th most attended club in the league with a sneaky chance of playing in front of 1...
If 19,000 turned up V GWS at the G,
I can’t see 15,000 turning up tomorrow, would require a good away saints rollout to be 25,000+

I can’t see it hitting 20k to be honest.
It’s bad enough going to their for home games when they mean something.
Before you start, yes there is nothing wrong with the stadium, it’s just not home. [emoji849]

If they were smart, they would frame as a farewell to Benny too, don’t underestimate the love we have for the Chief too.
Hell bring back Peggy, Cotch, Rewoldt, Bach and Titch and in Benny and Dusty and celebrate a dynasty like last year and you might get 50K through the gate.
