I believe it all depends on the league’s constitution. In Eastern it goes to a vote of all clubs whether or not to admit a new one. I have a feeling that no vote is required in Southern and the power to admit clubs belongs to the board.

It’s happened because they didn’t want to list them for AFLW, so in some weird attempt at equality, they thought they wouldn’t list them for men either. It’s actually shit because it’s an interesting stat for matchups.

This doesn’t happen because the home and away jumpers have different sponsors. Part of their deal is they have to wear the home jumper in home games. The indigenous jumper has home sponsors on it so not a problem.
