Western Bulldogs completely stuffed this one up. Why not leave him in the VFL for the rest of the year. Now every other club is on Aka's side! Good luck in finals without him. I, like Sam, support the Bulldogs even though I follow another club. No longer.

Reece is clearly one of the best umpires in the comp. This years umpire stocks look good. There seems to be some new faces who are also good. The three umpires in the Sunbury game last week were solid as well.

Well said!! The RDFL are a little star struck with ex-AFL players. Some people need to get out of the area and see some EFL or NFL where some teams have 3 or 4 ex AFL players in a side. It's great to have Gary and AJ, however the focus on them is over the top. They are just every day players...

No official complaint was made against the umpire and I am told that Moorcroft did not take any whiteness to the tribunal so my guess is that it was never said. The real issue here is the inconsistencies with the tribunal. IMO this should have simply been a fine or suspended sentence. Maybe...

Umpires are not allowed to bring whiteness. If an umpire sees it, he/she must report. However I am sure that all 4 umpires would have said the same thing so it was the one incident and should be treated as such. The tribunal are very hit and miss this year. It seems such a minor offence...

What do you expect? Kevin Smiths job is to get as many umpires on the field as possible, not to improve umpiring.
