Just heard that the Western Bulldogs guy (I think it was Todd Curly) has been rubbed out for 4 weeks for intentionally bumping an umpire. Apparantly this was a leniant suspension given the charge.

I saw both games and both teams have improved a fair bit (Collingwood & Hawthorn). I don't care what they say about Collingwood because they said the same thing last year when Collingwood were 5-0. We all know what happened then don't we.

I honestly think Essendon will drop a few matches this year so maybe it will be a tad more interesting than last year. The only thing worse then extremely happy Essendon supporters is extremely happy Collingwood supporters (shudder).

What on earth is going on with the new afl.com? Yesterday I couldn't get in to the club section and now i can't get in at all, the screen just freezes up. Has anyone else had these problems?

I stared at the damn thing for ages and could sort of make out the sign. But I don't think the ball will spin fast enough to become visible during a match.

Doesn't really bother me who sponsers the ball. But apparantly if the VW symbol is spun round fast enough to make a blur, you can make out a swastika. I don't think it would look too good if someone let fly a drop punt and the ball spun round so much, we could make it out.
