I think Pfieffer is the better pick however i would like to hear from some of the Port supporters.
Generally coaches do not nominate a player from the rookie list unless he is going to get games early. Melbourne's coach, Mark Neeld, said the same thing last week about his decision to upgrade...
Re: Player X v Player Y
Garfdog, Parker definitely has the most upside this year out of those three.
Will work well for byes as well (Round 12), as you could upgrade him to Rockliff or Scott Thompson before Round 12.
As a bulldogs man, who do you rate better out of Hargrave and Howard...
Re: Player X v Player Y
I like option number one.
Better consistency of scoring...having both Hargrave and Lake is a dangerous move.
PLEASE HELP:
Malceski vs Beau Waters vs Duffield
Thanks
Re: Post Your Team Part 2
I really like your midfield! I'm presuming that is Joel Selwood.
As a consequence of your strong mid and backs, you've had to skimp a little on the rucks and forwards, which i think is a good idea this year.
Once question for you...do you think Robinson and...
Re: NAB Cup R2 Port Adelaide v West Coast
good performance by Port... the big question is Redden in the side's best 22?
and what did people think about Pfieffer's performance? did he play off half back? did he get much midfield time?
What a performance by the Dees, a lot to look forward to this season.
Do you guys think both Magner and Couch will be be promoted off the rookie list? Whats the situation with long term injury list and veterans?
Be interested to hear your thoughts...both are super exciting!
Hi guys,
I believe i have sorted out the structure i want for this year.
I'm still waiting on certain rookies to see how they go (in other words, rookies aren't set in stone)
I'd be very interested to hear everyone's thoughts on this team. Tear it to shreds if you think it deserves it...
Sorry guys, completely missed Buntine... i'd probably have him somewhere in the 25 to 35 range.
I don't really rate Devon Smith or McKenzie for top 50. Please correct me if you strongly disagree and why?
Currently i rank the rookies as follows (based on a combination of scoring potential, job security and price)
1) S. Clifton
2) D. Shiel
3) J.Giles
4) J. McDonald
5) S. Darley
6) K. Horsley (subject to elevation)
7) D. Zorko
8) M. Clarke
9) S. Coniglio
10) T. Mitchell
11) A. Miles...
Did Harvey really say he would think about bringing Mzungu straight in this week????
Can anyone confirm this? If he has, he's surely lost his marbles. What benefit would that provide?
OK locked and loaded this is my final team...no more changes...$75,500 in the bank.
GOING FOR LEAGUE WIN so this explains my choice of players.
I've gone with 15 premiums and 1 midpricer who i believe could become a premium this year and then 17 rookies who i believe are in the top 20 rookies...
Otten may be a sub, but he won't be a sub all year. We have to remember the season is long...he is too cheap not to have.
ATLEY vs ILES??? and reasons why please?
Harry thanks a lot for your help...i agree, incredibly tough decision. I would pick Murphy before Mitchell however i am avoiding Carlton premiums due to my league win strategy.
Would it make it easier if i said:
MONTAGNA and HIGGINS
OR
MITCHELL and GOODES
???
also which would u choose...
I would choose Grimes over Bruce...and i agree, Duffield/Broughon is a toss of the coin. Duffield may kick more, but Broughton will rotate through the midfield.
I have a big dilemma....
MONTAGNA/HAYES and SHAUN HIGGINS
OR
SAM MITCHELL and ADAM GOODES
Please help
Ok...this is my final team. I'm sure you'll agree its very solid....designed to win league.
Backs: GODDARD, DELEDIO, BROUGHTON, GRIMES, ADCOCK, DUIGAN, LOWER
(STANLEY, HIBBERD, TOY)
Mids: SWAN, BOYD, PENDLEBURY, DAL SANTO, C. WARD, HEPPELL
(SWALLOW, HARRIS, BEWICK)
Ruck...
I would choose Adcock over Everitt.
This one is killing me!!!
COLIN SYLVIA, RHYS PALMER, ANDY OTTEN
VS
BRYCE GIBBS, DANE SWAN, LUKE TAPSCOTT
Please...a few opinions would be greatly appreciated
Agree...Toy is a gun. He is definitely in my team. I just believe that Stanley, being a bigger, stronger body, will play as much as Toy and will probably play across half forward and through the midfield, hence he will likely score more than Toy this year.
Just my thoughts... seems like most...
Forgot to mention - league win aim.
This is my final team - pending team sheets on Thursday
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GODDARD, DELEDIO, BROUGHTON, GRIMES, OTTEN, HIBBERD, DUIGAN
(STANLEY, TOY, LOWER)
BOYD, HAYES, PENDLEBURY, PALMER...
In terms of scoring potential and Job security, i would rank this year's rookies/cheapies as follows:
I'll only include the Top 15 - all in my opinion of course
1) D. Harris
2) C. Richardson
3) A. Krakeour
4) S. Iles
5) D. Swallow
6) D. Stanley
7) N. Lower
8) R. Bewick
9) A. Otten
10) Duigan...
