It sucks that we couldn’t make it past the final hurdle, but at least we made it to the GF.
It’s bad luck that Richmond had injuries, some teams can cope with them and some teams can’t.
I use to think there was nothing worse then losing a grand final, but as bad as it is, at least we lost it to a team that deserved it as much as we did.
No one gave you guys a chance and you never gave up, you pushed for the win even when you were behind with 5 mins to go, you never gave up and...
After much thought I think I would swap Goldsack for Moore, I think we need him to cover Kennedy, and with Moore in Goldsack doesn’t have an opponent (Landon and Howe to cover Darling).
Makes sense for Melbourne to chase him. Melbourne are very heavily reliant on Gawn, and Pruess plays very similar. If Gawn was to go down then Melbourne would need someone to step right in and take his place within the game plan, especially now their primiorship window is wide open...
It’s going to be a cracking game! Out of all the top 8 you guys were the only other team I could deal with winning it.
No one gave either of us a chance coming into the season, we’ve both lost key personal during the season, and we’re both hitting our best form coming into the GF.
I was actually...
Would have loved Moore to play an unaccountable Rance type role down back, but regardless we have a pretty well balanced team. Three things need to happen for us to get up IMO.
1) Goldsack to at least break even with Riewoldt, doesn’t need to keep him goalless but just stop him from taking big...
I’m on the umpires side on this, it looks like he’s constantly playing for a free instead of committing to the mark.
Yes there has been a few frees not given but I’m happy for the umps not to pay them if players keep exaggerating contact.
Mason just needs to 100% commit to going for the mark...
Just a thought on May and the Sun’s expecting a top 5 pick via free agency next year.
For that to happen the Sun’s are conceding that they are going to finish bottom 4 again. That’s a pretty dangerous thing for them to do given their situation as you would think their board and the AFL would...
I would bring Moore in to play a loose intercepting roll, keeping Goldsack in for Riewoldt.
Aish is probably the unlucky one who misses out due to a couple of poor games.
Not worth taking a punt on at the moment. Let him play VFL for a year and if he dominates and shows he’s over his injury problems then you might consider a rookie spot for 2020.
Beams for our first and a steak knives player (Thomas, Oxley, or Smith), if Brisbane want one of them.
Brisbane will want a bit more but that’s all I think Collingwood would be willing to give up, considering we need as many points as possible for our academy kids.
I would think any of the...
Any pick from 30+ is pretty hit and miss. I don’t know the stats but I’m guessing there’s not a lot of 100+ game players playing that were picked after 30. Sier, Philip’s, and Langdon all look certain to make that milestone.
For what it’s worth the only player we have left on our list picked...
People keep singing Cox’s praises, but I just don’t see it. He’s had a couple of really good games, but most of the time he’s underwhelming.
I would take the felaxibility Mihocek brings over over a one trick pony who only pulls that one trick off once or twice a game.
But saying that I don’t...
There seems to be some perception on bigfooty if a player is not an elite kick, that he turns the ball over every time he disposes of it. Yes Langdons not the best kick but he probably only misses a target 2 or 3 times a game (usually under immense too), it’s just obvious when he does as he...
I think you just have to accept that his kicking isn’t great. Rather then getting frustrated just lower your expectations of his disposal and be thankful for the weapon he does have in his intercept marking.
It’s great to see a lower draft pick come through and start showing elite potential. Our 2010 side was built around rookie picks and low draft picks coming good, and after a few years of misses it looks like we’re finally hitting a few with the likes of Sier, Philips, and Langdon
Would prefer
DeGoey - Lynch - Stephenson
Elliott - Mihocek - Hoskin-Elliott
With Lynch and Moore helping out Grundy. Much more flexible which Mihocek able to play back if required.
Cops a lot of abuse on here for his disposal, but more then makes up for it with his intercept marking.
I think he would benefit from forcusing on taking the easy option. He’s actually got good vision and you can see what he’s trying to do when he mucks up, it’s just his kicking skills that let...
Shown enough both forward and back to justify his draft position, and the perfect age. You would think if it wasn’t for his injuries he would be worth more then the pick (6?) we paid for him.
Injuries probably take a bit off that but still definitely worth a top 10 pick, could drift up to pick 5...
