Tim Holobowski's a multiple B&F at Rams and three-time premiership player, plus there's young Alex Hay who had a good season at Benalla last year. And then all the others like Lumber from Blighty, Gilligan from Jerilderie and Jack Lloyd (brother of Sam) back up forward which adds depth - the...
Finley by 15-20 goals and not even blowing wind up anyone. The actual difference in standard is that dramatic it's not funny.
Sure, PDFL's best players are good enough to be the best in most leagues (and many juniors have gone on to AFL) but the depth isn't there.

Closest possible finish to the season, what a ripper. Rams tore Moama a new one yesterday and will be a big threat in the finals if they get over United
Definitely a two horse race and should be a great grand final. :footy:
Week one:
STRATHY v Tocumwal
BLIGHTY v Berrigan
Week two:
JERILDERIE v Strathy
Tocumwal v BLIGHTY
Week three:
STRATHY v Blighty
Big dance:
JERILDERIE v Strathy
Interesting to see Moama got up over Echuca United. Just adds to how even the comp is. Rumba vs Moama and the Echuca vs Deni games should go a little way to spreading out the ladder
I'm sure he means Finley is about the only other club that puts work into its juniors rather than buying hot shots.
Should be a cracking game tomorrow hehehe
Why are you so pleased about a player's clearance being denied? It's not like he is going to be playing at the Rovers anyhow. I'd be shocked and appalled if the tribunal don't allow the move.
Rams have got hold of a few former players. Anthony Bull (overseas), Simon Maher (Colbinabbin), Brett Macdonald (Deni Rovers) and Blair Whelan (Redan). A few more in the works too, which should make up for the loss of Lachy Small and Todd Gallagher.
I think everyone has underated the Rovers, they've lost only 1 player from last season and have gained some pretty handy recruits. I reckon they'll definitely finish top three. If they don't who knows what I'll do.
Deni Rovers to play the Billabong Crows at Memorial Park tomorrow, with yet another recruit to pull on the boots!
Perhaps a good year ahead for the Roos
I wouldn't say there are only two aussie rules clubs in Deni.
Players from Deni are heavily involved in Blighty and Mathoura, with some even playing for Hay and Wakool.
So that's six sides that the population is lending to.
Just saying
footy wiz what are you on about?
according to you Jack Tyndall was going to play for Hay next year :thumbsd:
Beau Close is about the only player that you've mentioned that will 100% play for the Redeyes.
I'm sure you know more about these players heading out to Blighty than they do.
Lenny is a defender. Very big lad for a 20 year old so has no problem playing CHB.
Pogue is a running player and is a good overhead mark.
He is a bit of a utility player and can play on a flank, wing or in a key position.
Not too sure about Louis these days.
A defender if my memory serves me...
