Skob's by 5 goals against the Tiges.
Collegians by a few over Xavs
Trinity to beat Melburnians
Beauy to jump Blacks for their first win
De La to outrun blues
Hey everyone, recently relocated to Melbourne and new to this feed, hoping to remember to post regularly enough and be a worthy member. Also not sure if there is an official tipping competition going on for this but would love to be a part of it if there is.
First round tips are:
Wesley...
Maybe you've indirectly found the problem here stuyd1. We've acknowledged that all the teams have recruited a number of gun players from the teams that didn't renew their neafl licence and the team, in this instance aspley is having more trouble integrating these players into their existing list...
Tips for this week:
Sydney - continue strong form, plus playing at home again
Southport - continue great start, should be a great contest
Aspley - expect them to bounce back from two close losses against quality opposition
Queanbeyan - played better against Sydney and should be too strong for...
Should be an interesting week this week hopefully with all teams playing and a couple of cross conference games. My tips:
Southport
Gold Coast
Ainslie
Sydney Uni
NT
UWS
Eastlake
Got out to the Ainslie vs. hills game on Saturday and it was a straight up shoot out. There was minimal defence played by either team through the middle of the ground and while it's entertaining to watch teams link up with handballs and kick goals its not realistic to expect it to happen every...
GWS and ACT 23's was a fairly even game, giants looked sharp when they could get the ball in space and switch play but wouldn't say they were convincing
Im with you ABH, i think the focus should be on picking the right players first though, if you don't have a squad who are going to be competitive and put the NEAFL's best foot forward then what is the point in saying it is a compulsory game?
That's much the same as any representative team FT222. It's rarely picked just on performance which isn't fair on anyone, those guys not picked who have put in the good performances don't get to test themselves at a higher level while the guys picked on reputation go into such games under...
The Eastern rep weekend is 4 weeks after the northern one so i suspect the squad will be announced in around 4 weeks if the eastern team is to have the same preparation time as their northern counterparts.
My tips for this week are:
UWS
Broadbeach
Belconnen
Queanbeyan
Sydney Uni
Who is everyone tipping this weekend? I'm going with:
Gold Coast
Brisbane
Ainslie
Tuggers
Hills and
Queanbeyan.
Full round with the three cross conference games!
Always hard to tip the first round, didn't see Eastlake and Belconnen play last month but going to tip the same result. Belconnen and Queanbeyan for me.
I agree with all of the above, while it would be nice to go out and play tough trial games every week to get a good guide as to how your team is shaping up in relity all you do is risk losing players. Playing easier teams allows you to trial new structures and players in different positions in a...
Interesting that Eastlake and Belconnen would play a trial against each other when they match up in round 1 in just over 4 weeks. Anyone heading out to have a look? As for predicting ladder spots at this stage of the year it is all speculation and in my opinion you can't predict anything, least...
Very true ABH, fortunes in footy don't just turn themselves around. But we can only assume they will try and make next year a better one than this.
As for losses we can't really go on past form, if smith goes to queanbeyan and has another year like this year he could well see himself running...
