They're doing a great job organising teams for next year. As far as I know it is looking promising that they'll be able to field two sides.
Preseason training dates are locked in and everybody is keen as mustard to get out there and have a crack.

Not really in a position to comment further at this stage but I'm guessing the local rag will have cottoned on by now and it'll go to press for Monday.

I had the pleasure of a phone call with the new coach this morning. Seems like a well rounded bloke, if he can successfully implement what he wants to at the club it'll be a big positive.

I've nothing to share at this point. Not heard much around the traps apart from a few meetings etc happening. No names mentioned to me at this point. Assuming they'll leave the naming until the AGM, which has been pretty standard the last few years.

In 2012, We played Tarra at Tarra In the twos in a prelim when they'd not lost a game for the whole year and got over them. Don't think it really matters at all.

Thats fine. You're entitled to your opinion about the club I'm apart of. I don't value your opinion at all so I'll go right ahead and ignore it.

Just coincidence that a player on the Glenrowan list shares the birthdate you "randomly" entered? Pretty big coincidence if you ask me.

I love it when people put their real birthdate in when they sign up. May as well have signed up with your username as your real name [emoji23]

I'm sure if there was no junior league, clubs could organise at least one training session a week for their juniors at an oval in town.
As mentioned earlier, it's probably most convenient if there are multiple children/mum or dad also already at the club.

But it has a flow on effect that does affect both leagues.
Logistically it is a nightmare.
Say you've got a 12 year old kid playing junior league, a kid in 3rds and you want to have a kick in the 2s yourself.
By chance you might score the same ground as the thirds kid, depending on who they're...
As far as I know, we have been told we must field a seconds side next year and from what I've been told, the club is on track to do this.
As for the "don't blame the ground" comment, in 2015 we won 3 games, Benalla won 0. We lost our coach 3 weeks in to 2016, along with half our senior list and...
Milawa's delivery was flawless, they kept hitting him up and he kept kicking them. I think it was 21.2 that he kicked in the end. Seemed that he couldn't miss.

Given the points system and salary cap limitations you'd probably have to think we'll be on a slow burn for a few years unless somehow we can magically entice players that are quality and played U18s at the club, not sure how many of them there are around though.

Think you'll find that the tribunal won't rely on hearsay (when somebody heard from somebody that saw an incident occur). They can, however rely on witness testimony, which I suspect is what happened in this case.
All umpires can give evidence, club officials can give evidence, players can...
That's if what was written in the weekly times was accurate.
We've been asked not to comment on the subject and I wasn't there so I don't have intimate knowledge of the incident but both players were obviously cited, and either an admission of guilt or the charges were proven on both accounts...
Big game this week - battle for the spoon.
Both teams coming off the back of 282 point losses last week, who will come out on top?
Also, I'm told some of the boys will be making an appearance on the footy show this week, possibly with a big announcement.

There was a time where we all had thirds. In fact, the year the thirds comp was "merged", some clubs were struggling for numbers. One that wasn't was Nth Wang. Had a thirds team and coach lined up ready to go. When the league forced the merge, most of these players decided they didn't want to go...
(Not so) Simple solution. Dissolve WDJFL, align junior football with O+K clubs (13s,15s,17s) - Try out for O+M 3rds, if you don't make it, go back to where you've been since you come out of Auskick. At present a bloke that lives in Wang might have to travel to Bonnie Doon on a Saturday then...
We're obliged to have a seconds team going forward. Apparently we have been told in no uncertain terms that we must have a seconds side near.
