Who wins from here?
I think the Kelly boys will, jungle juice will help with that
If by jungle juice you mean five grand finals and four straight flags experience in the core and a good bunch of young forwards new to the side then yeah i reckon you're right. Never count them out. They can win it from anywhere. Until they are beaten or do not make the grand final they are still the team to beat. No one else proved anything yet...

I agree, it will be decided by under a goal. Milawa close to full strength, no excuses this time, although there were none last time. Tarrawingee will take it right up to them, going to be a cracker!

I'd like to see Milawa get over the line only because it gives us the chance to get back into the top 2 if we can beat Tarra again in rd 17.

Grand final preview Curry?
Potentially.
As much as i want Benalla to get there again, i just feel injuries to key players will hurt too much, but they will remain a threat with Nich Spencer, Jacka and Riley Moran rolling through the middle.
Glenrowan as i have said are the ones to beat, until they're out, they're always in.
Tarra are the form team, while Milawa has been the tip all season.
I think this weekend will show us a lot, but GF preview it could be.

Is a shame i can't go and watch.

So the O&K tribunal are now making far less sense than even the AFL tribunal!

According to last nights results, if a photo of you hitting an opposition player gets in the Weekly Times you get suspended for just two weeks.
On the other hand, if you're the player getting hit, and literally copped it on the chin without striking back, you get three weeks...

Can any one explain this with a straight face?

That's if what was written in the weekly times was accurate.
We've been asked not to comment on the subject and I wasn't there so I don't have intimate knowledge of the incident but both players were obviously cited, and either an admission of guilt or the charges were proven on both accounts. In my experience, you don't get suspended for "copping it on the chin".

Hopefully Sam Macgregor will be back this week, managed 10 in the twos last week in his first game back after 12 weeks in jured

I agree, you shouldn't get suspended for not retaliating. That's how it is supposed to work.

Lets put this out there, if there is photographic evidence of the lead up to the incident, and the incident itself, and this evidence shows that the Doon player did not throw a punch, how can the tribunal find that he did? If the umpire in charge sent off the North Wang player for striking, why was he not reported in the first instance? If both players were throwing punches why didn't both get sent off?

Look, practically, it will have no effect on Doon's season. They will still get done by 20 goals for the rest of the year.
At a club level, and for the player involved, it is pretty devastating to get shafted like that.

And for the tribunal to rely on hearsay in the face of actual proof is bloody pathetic.

I honestly believe that this weekends game has absolutely no bearing on what happens in September Glenrowan has proved that in the past
Finals are a totally different game where pressure and power a important ingredient

Tarra and Milawa will b a crackerjack but I do not think the outcome of this game will determine who wins the flag
Just my opinion

Think you'll find that the tribunal won't rely on hearsay (when somebody heard from somebody that saw an incident occur). They can, however rely on witness testimony, which I suspect is what happened in this case.

All umpires can give evidence, club officials can give evidence, players can give evidence. Obviously an incident has occured otherwise there wouldn't have been a citation for the BD player. It's that simple. If nothing happened, there wouldn't have been a complaint made.

I understand the process, am confused/troubled by the outcome.

The umpires did not make a report or comment at the time, so obviously didn't witness anything despite being right there. Players can give evidence "oh, he hit me first", yep, that's a reliable witness. And even if club officials are acting with the utmost integrity, with no bias whatsoever, the whole incident was caught on camera. The fact remains that there is tangible evidence of the incident. What I am asking is why was this evidence largely ignored by the tribunal?

Lets also point out that the complaint against the Doon player was only made after Doon confirming it was following up why due process did not occur when the North Wang bloke got sent off. If anyone is interested, the official line from the umpire was "I lost my report book, that's why there is no report".

Anyway the system is rooted, rant over!

Picking Milawa over Tarra, 14 points, and, as much as I hate to say it, Glenrowan are only out of the grand final equation when they are celebrating mad Monday.

Tarra v Milawa by 2 goals
North wang v Moyhu- Moyhu by 100
Bonnie Doon v Greta - Blues need to win by 200+ to gain % to stay ahead of Bright.
All blacks v GBat - blacks by 108
Glenrowan v KV - tigers by 55
Bright v Whorouly - lions in an upset.
