Players who aren't even locks have odds that suggest they are locks. Danger 1.35? Gibbs 1.20? Pendles 1.28? Heppell 1.05?!?! Prestia 1.15? Ward 1.25? Jones 1.40? Cotchin 1.10?
Those odds don't at all reflect their likelihood of winning in my opinion. Bad value. You can get good odds if you add...
Yeah, exactly right. This year, even the players under 1.60 aren't lock. In fact, that only ones I think are locks are Rocky and Gray.
I did well 3 years ago, but since then I've always had one player ruin most of my multis. The amount of variations you need to win is crazy, and that will only...
Do people think the most team votes multis are worth it this year?
There is a lot of potential for value, but, of course, that means a lot of risks.
I just can't get my head around it. There's barely a single player who I see as a lock.
Has anyone possibly got the lists of the group most votes from TAB?
I didn't take note of them, and the TAB website is shite, so would appreciate if anyone could inform me.
I went with McVeigh too. He doesn't usually poll that well but I think he should top it. As you said, he has a lot of 3 vote games, which is a massive plus.
Not sure how Lib polls... I don't know that he's "mainstream" enough for the umps to give him as many as he may deserve, Rocky might have...
I don't know if I can be bothered doing the most team votes this year. It is such a headache and I think I need to either put a heap down on a heap of bets and make a safe, but not very big return, or get lucky and make a big return.
I'm too impatient to put the time in to be honest.
I guess 99% of football supporters are "pathetic individuals" then since that's how just about everyone reacts when their team gets a free called against them or there is some tenuous appeal for a free ;)
It's just passion for the game.
Yeah, similar reasoning applies to me being silently glad that we lost to Freo and got to play Hawks in the prelim rather than having to play them in the GF (if we made it). Even though it's not ideal, I'd much prefer lose to the Hawks in a Prelim than a GF (our last loss to them being the 08 GF).
I didn't expect us to win but I am impressed we almost did. The fact that we can still do so well after so many years of being the top or a top side in the competition is great.
We didn't deserve the win and were honestly very lucky that the Hawks were kicking so poorly and received some...
I haven't been to TAB but I see that online they're not allowing multis for team votes, so I assume it's the same there?
Do people think they will allow multis the day before/on the day like they did last year (if I recall correctly), or, otherwise, which site is offering the best odds?
I'm in the exact same boat. Would trade in someone else if they appealed to me. Roo has appealed to me for weeks but I just can't justify his price now.
I currently have Franklin in but whether I reverse changes or not is another matter. I got burnt by Travis Cloke when he was in contract negotiations last year and I really don't want that to happen again.
Ummm hard call and I'm surprised you don't already have Cox. Regarding Daw, you have missed a price rise but he still has a very very low BE. He also has a round 12 bye which is always handy. Obviously you can't expect him to always score as he did but I expect him to have a very good average...
Yeah, I was also thinking along those lines. I need to get rid of Griffin and no one else is really appealing to me. Was going to bring in Roo last week but I just can't justify his price.
Mitchell with GWS GC and MEL in the next 3 weeks is the obvious choice. Personally, I couldn't bring in Murphy purely because of his complete inability to shake a tag.
Had the trade of Westy --> Roo locked in all week and up to Friday night. Had commented that I would not change this trade to Stevie J, as every time I've gone against my gut I have screwed myself. Decided I would change it to Stevie J on Friday night. 4 minutes into the second quarter and Roo...
I don't think it's at all clear but that is close to my 8 (though I would replace Eagles with Tigs).
I wouldn't have Sydney or Collingwood in the 4 personally.
