Easily my best score for the year. Went huge even with a donut from holding Gawn.
C on Oliver and Trac going big definitely helped. Still having Daicos on the bench to loop was very handy too.
Making Daicos D6 now and downgrading Ridley for cash for my final upgrades.
Any chance of Skinner (PA) getting another run?
Any other Def/Fwd rookies likely to get some runs on the board soon?
Need to bring one in for Durdin so I can switch McCartin forward.
I have Preuss/Hayes is it worth taking a punt on Grundy to Ladhams and backing Ladhams to be a top 5 ruck with Hickey out?
Or just Downgrade to a Strnadica and have cash to spend on other lines.
Pretty mindful both Ladhams big scores have been against teams with no genuine ruck (WC & Hawks).
What’s the prognosis on Hinge?
Having trouble deciding if to hold him on my bench or trade sideways to NOD for some extra cash gen. Or upgrade to a premo like Stewart or Sinclair?
Is it time to cash in JHF? I have downgraded to him to Rosas.
I have gone Gibcus to Short to bolster my Defence after Whitfield flopping and trading him out for Bowey last week.
I think Gibcus will be a slow burn and can’t afford to wait especially while Short will go up too.
Maginness to Green is also tempting but I’m not sold on Green especially with...
My view is Bont has a higher ceiling and generally throws out a couple 170 - 200 games each year but at the same time is liable to to throw out a 60 - 80 which can be costly in leagues.
His average balances out but overalls he’s simply less consistent and reliable than Macrae.
Keen to get some feedback on my initial team. Gone for a lot more mid pricers than usual this year at this stage not sure if it’s a great strategy.
Rookies are subject to change based on pre season R1 selections.
I do see Treloar & Rowell as potential keepers though.
Hadn’t heard any talk of Willis so did a bit of research. Sounds promising.
"Willis is a well built, hard running footballer who possesses a blend of speed and explosiveness which is quite unique for his size and frame. He combines these physical tools with an appetite for contested football...
Even when talking about Duncan and Guthrie a bit of consistency with and not getting injured will see them improve on 2021.
Guthrie was well and truly in AA form prior to his shoulder injuries and Duncan was never really found his best form this year either having plenty of injury issues.
16 a side would definitely go a long way to fixing the problems with congestion. Players are fitter, faster and more defensively minded than ever and it it just far too easy for them to cover space and defend.
As eluded to by dee64 though it would also create an issue with it becoming much...
Geeze thats an optimistic take even by my standards.
Don't see your forward setup coming to fruition. I do agree Sav is definitely a forward. But I think/hope Sav spends most of the in the 2's honing his forward craft and preparing to take over from Hawkins in a year or 2. As for the game plan...

Too many journos reading big footy.
Best of luck Clarky.
Hard to disagree to be honest and the same could be said of Scott the way we shit the bed in last years grand final and were overcome by Dusty kicking low percentage goals out of his arse to turn the game on its head. We also dropped a couple prelims in 2014 and 2019 against the eventual...
Much like the knocks on Scott, Lyon creates game plans that get you there but don't get the job done at the pointy end in September. Really hope this isn't the way we go.
Voted no.
Although I'm really glass half full. Scott has showed the ability to evolve and change over the years make a game plan that works with the group he is given so its not all bad. I don't think Hocking and co would have re-signed him if he wasn't on board with the direction the club...
1. Good run with injuries, key players such as Stewart, Jezza, Danger, Duncan, Cuthrie, MoC had a bad run this season especially leading into finals.
2. Create more drive off half back. Try Rohan off half back, rotate Duncan & Touhy through HBF and wing.
3. Narkle comes back with a bigger tank...
Sounds good in theory but shopping out half your senior players is a great way to kill morale club and creates poor culture IMO.
They have a good young list well balanced list already IMO they should be looking to hang on to their leaders.
If this is true book Mitchell in for a wooden spoon.
I feel like Norf are making a mistake here. They would want to be confident that Horne-Francis is in it for the long haul and is bonefied superstar. 3 R1 picks over 2 years could go a long way in their rebuild
On the flip side Adelaide...
Henry and Kolo will be our main KPDs going forward with Blitz helping out as needed depending on opposition setups and taking the 200cm talls.
Kolo plays a lot better as a lock down on talls than smalls IMO and should be bulking up and looking to fill Hendos role.
Also hope that SDK gets 10-12...
I think the thing that you fail understand is just how physically bruising of a position the ruck is. Every ball up your copping contact to the knees, shins, thighs, ribs, shoulders or head.
Throw a kid in there against big mature monsters of men week after week who is not physically bulked up...
Seen a lot of people talking about Knevitt on here. I'm not super on the pulse with the draftees but did read he come 3rd in the 2km time trial at the draft combine.
What kind of player he is he? Looks kinda like a skinny Bontompelli.
Why is the assumption that we don’t see him playing next year? Maybe the MC do I know I do. Plenty of 20 year olds aren’t gifted games when they play for a decent club.
Another pre season, a new coaching panel, Hendo retirement the stars could easily align and Clark finally has his break out...
In all likelihood this trade will be a bust and Geelong will retain Jordan for another year unless Freo come to the table offering overs.
I think Jordan is aware of this too which why no official trade request has been made. No need to burn bridges after all and whilst a move home would be...
Or even just making realistic non one eyed assessment apparently. I didn't say I'd be happy with the deal and even said I would rather keep him. All I said is that its a likely scenario lol.
Likely deal shaping up would see Clark & p34 for Tucker & p27.
Not sure that I like that deal but Clark has a very high ceiling but given proven performance it’s seems fair. Maybe if we play hardball we nab a future 3rd rounder too.
Think Tucker would be a decent addition to our squad although...
