Apparently she's responsible for thousands of trans deaths worldwide now, and the media hang off her every word, waiting to amplify it throughout the universe because she's just THAT important.
Highly recommend listening to the podcast series The Witch Trial of JK Rowling. You misogynists would actually appreciate it, as it's actually quite balanced and fair. There's an episode with an extended interview with ContraPoints which is a real highlight. Might learn something.
Ah yes, I'm very sure JKR is super duper concerned that Khelif, from Algeria, made a complaint - likely without naming who it was against - to the French Police, about something said on an American-owned platform, in case they decided to charge her with... something, and it goes to the court...
Snide, illogical and irrelevant.
This insistence on trying to drag the conversation down to the level of a twitter shitfight needs to stop. You're supposed to set an example.
Gun to my head, I'd say yes, there was at least one male with a DSD competing - Khelif. Said that the very first post I made on the topic, so this isn't exactly news. But again, it's not about me. The IOC don't even want to know. THAT should be the issue.
Yeah, especially if it doesn't fit your desired outcomes!
So we come back full circle. The IOC doesn't want to know if males are in the female boxing categories, let alone do any testing themselves to check. That's their choice I suppose, but everyone is free to say it's despicable.
Reportedly, the test results that the IBA used to decide to ban the two boxers were sent with a letter directly to the IOC a year ago. They have that information, and their response has been to say that this doesn't follow the process, isn't from a trusted source and goes against their current...
So now they aren't hiding anything, they are just sticking their fingers in their ears and going, "Lalalalallallaalalallaallaa!" while they slide the info they were sent into the shredder. That's totally different...
They (IOC and IBA) are both as bad as each other. You're making this about ThE...
The IBA apparently sent the results directly to the IOC - that journo had eyes on the letter apparently. And the IOC hasn't denied they received it, they've basically said they don't like the source or the process so they are pretending the tests don't exist. So, who's hiding things, the IOC or...
There's always exceptions to rules. And I wouldn't even necessarily say that test results should be transparent - it's enough to just say that the results mean nothing or something.
Look, it did have massive "Aunty Joan has had too many Southern Comforts at Boxing Day lunch and is showing us her year 9 Rock Eisteddfod routine from 1987 again," vibes which I do appreciate I suppose.
The content of tests, the actual taking of tests etc. I said earlier, I've never found that having less information when making a decision ended up in a better result.
I blame literally everyone else in her life for that performance.
So many people with her ear, and nobody said, "Mate, you look utterly ridiculous and will embarrass not just yourself, your family, your ancestors and descendents, but your nation too."
So many people in the academic hierarchy...
Any others angles people want to try to discredit me with? I really don't mind, keep tagging me. If you don't understand what I'm saying at this point, it's on you.
That makes no sense. Not sure what's going on with you.
I'm not engaging any further with an argument that is the equivalent of "Actually, humans are bipedal because sometimes there are conjoined twins who have more than two legs or people who have accidents and live with only one leg". Feel...
I don't know what you mean by cancelled in relation to recent discussions. The boxing stuff? I'm not really seeing how that amounts to cancellation, especially as I understand the meaning of the term.
For anyone interested, I could copy and paste dozens of papers that reinforce this, but I'm not going to bother arguing about something so clearly established. It's like arguing with a flat earther. Look it up yourself.
Is this the quality of research you do in your work? And it's acceptable? Or did you just assume I wouldn't actually check your source?
That paper has nothing to do with intersex conditions and their classification. It makes ONE mention of the fact that there are people who are intersex. I have...
