My post has nothing to do with last night's result.
Our disposal is "consistently" poor, have a look at each games stats in The Age for "effective disposals" and compare that with what the top sides get.
It's the main cause as to why we've had such a roller coaster ride over the last 7...
It's been 2 years since I posted in this forum and I've just about had enough!
It's about time we got ourselves a kicking coach or someone who is prepared to show our players how to kick the ball straight.
The amount of turnovers (especially when there is little pressure) just absolutely...
I think Wayne is his own worst enemy when it comes to speaking in public.
I don't think what he said was meant to sound malicious, but it sounded pretty poor taken in isolation.
He said that he enjoys himself immensly at North gatherings, and that wouldn't happen if he and the players...
If you and your mate were the one's who talked about the club song then yes it was the same conversation :)
I suppose it's the same as any business, you don't go and spruke off to the rest of the world if it's a different message from your boss, and at this stage no one is really boss :(
Going by what he said to us today, yes the board stuff has a lot to do with it, and he did say a couple of things that shouldn't be said in this forum just yet and give valid grounds as to why he's not been prepared to "shout from the top of the mountain" so far.
Hello everyone, it's been a while since I posted but Mrs Roofus and I had a very long conversation with Rick Aylett and this is a synopsis of that conversation, but first of all I must express that I'm impressed by the man (I know Limerick also came away from a meeting with him a couple of weeks...
From the club website:
The nominees for the six Shareholder elected positions are: Caroline Carnegie, Andrew Carter, Joseph Connellan, Peter de Rauch, Graham Duff, Stephen Head, Fulvio Inserra, John Magowan, John Nicholson, Michael O’Brien & Maurice Reilly.
The nominees for the three...
Well a couple of weeks ago at the Legends Cocktail Party (or whatever it's called these days), Jonathan Hay was the only player not in the regulation collar/tie/suit and he was the only one drinking alcohol. I remarked to Mrs Roofus that this is not a good look, and perhaps it says something...
The three previous years saw gradual improvement. He made a few mistakes, but he kept to our tried and true style of play.
This year he's come out with a different style of play and game play which does not suit us because we don't have those type of players to carry out that plan fullstop...
That sentiment is fine when you've got a team in Melbourne, but mark my words...... we will end up on the Gold Coast, and that will mean at least half the membership in Melbourne will drop off, and then there will be no more good times.
Thought he was very good for the first up effort. He led and marked well, gave us more than one option up forward. His kicking though will always be hit and miss.
I think we need someone like Eddie around the club, someone who is not afraid of the media, and is prepared to keep the club's name in the headlines, that's in addition to a clean out of the administration staff and employ people who can at least organise a chook raffle.
Welcome to the fold CR!
As you saw it's a great night, full of lots of friendly NM people and fine guest speakers.
Now..... who else wants to join up, support our club, and have an enjoyable night out once a month?
They tend to appear outside of Australia first, so we get prior warning. When that happens safe practice is to not open any attachment, but organisations like Symantec are very quick to detect these things and have definition updates ready for distribution.
That is at the disgression of the...
Time for some education folks!
1. First of all you have nothing to fear if you are running a virus scanner with up to date virus definitions.
2. Make sure your virus scanner is one of the commercially available ones like Symantec or McAfee.....forget the free one's their def's are not...
