Jonathon Hay if your not fair dinkum about your footy then do the honourable thing and resign. Stop putting your hand out and taking good money under false pretences, stop taking a spot on the Kangaroos's list and give someone who's keen and willing to have a real crack a chance.

Well Woewoedin or whatever his name is fits that category (keen and willing)and another pea-heart in Powell waited until the list was finalised. Perhaps we should look at our recuiting and the culture of our club. We also had Motlop who was not exactly loyal or keen.

I've had enough of him.Show him the door together with other rubbish like Petrie and Harding.I bet Hawthorn will be laughing at as now.

to be quite honest I don't give a fu<I< what Hawthorn are doing... they just gave Clarkson another 2 years... hoping his grand start to coaching can continue...

Jon has done the wrong thing buy the club and fellow players... it is now up to Jon to fix this up...

the thing I found funnyy listening to the report on the radio was that several young Kangaroos players had been reprimanded for gambling... I swear we do not have any young players... so WTF are these guys talking about???

Imagine how the other players would feel. This guy can't kick, is not fit, get's ****ed before a game, what a joke. He is bringing the rest of the group down. Stand up Dean and the assistance, and open your eyes, everyone can see what is going on, but you guys.

They've dropped him, they've fined him and suspended him. Not sure exactly what more they can do at this stage.

Well a couple of weeks ago at the Legends Cocktail Party (or whatever it's called these days), Jonathan Hay was the only player not in the regulation collar/tie/suit and he was the only one drinking alcohol. I remarked to Mrs Roofus that this is not a good look, and perhaps it says something about his attitude to the game/team these days.

If we could (painlessly), we should get rid of him.

Was he drinking before the game or the night before the game?

Depends on your definition of 'the night before'. My guess, is that he did took a leaf out of the Andrew Symonds pre game routine from the Ashes last year:eek:

I understand that blokes **** up, but it worries me that there were young blokes with him who have also been reprimanded. Odds are Hamish was one. We are not in a position where this can be dealt with as it might have 5 years ago. We have a coach under pressure and a list that is in limbo.

A bloke who is on his 2nd chance is at a casino drinking with young blokes the night before his chance to get back in the side and repay some faith really shiits me off.

Bad football is one thing, spreading your habits amongst the list is terminal. Bad culture is the single biggest factor that stops clubs being successful and we have payed a big price for a well known screw up.

If it was anyone else we would all be defending them, poor old Jonny Hay is getting the boots sunk into him, overreaction imo, having said that get rid of him and the coaches at the same time.

Picks 10 & 26.

im happy :p
It'll be a long while before your pick 10 or 26 kicks 8 goals in an AFL game.
In fact the odds are those players (whoever they are) won't even play 100 games.

Spot on Vlad76. I was discussing with my bro-in-law tonight that a 'upcoming champion junior' isn't a gimme to FIT in any scheme if the coaching can't use him to his strength's and develop his weaknesses. Something no doubt JYD has major problems with. Draft picks are a lottery anyway.

Dont think St. Kilda, Richmond, Bulldogs with all their high picks have proved anything about this being the way to win a premiership.

Got to have something else, We have it

Thanks for Nathan Thompson.
The man still doesn't play consistent footy.

Meanwhile Jordan Lewis is probably our most effective midfielder this year and has the 4th most possies for the club, 3rd in clearances. In his 2nd year.

He's the type you could really use in your skill-less midfield atm.
