AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

There was a corporate area start from P15 seat 9 around. How do I know, I was P15, seat 8.

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

I would argue that $10.50 in 1993 compared to $27 in 2024 for a standard general admission ticket is probably less than inflation. However the difference in 1993 was a GA ticket got you into most areas of the ground, it doesn't these days. Similarly the AFL member ticket was pretty much all...

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

Back in the day it was far easier. I joined for the 1994 season and attended the 1997 Grand Final as a Full (it wasn't called Gold then) member.

Didn’t they do this with West Coast? I thought there was some restriction on being an Eagles Club support member because there was a waiting list for Eagles season tickets. Might have been back in the Subi days.

No, but there hasn't been any confirmation that there won't be either.

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

I am sure one of the GF's that Hawthorn played, some AFL tickets actually went back to the club members, even silver didn't sell out.

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

Well again, yes they set the rules, including who gets what tickets and how much they cost, but supply has never met demand. Medallion Club, Corporates, MCC Membership, AFL membership etc - they all exist because someone is willing to pay.

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

you can have what ever system you want, it might make the process easier but it doesn't make any more seats. If more people want tickets than there are tickets available, someone misses out. Who that person who misses out maybe depends on the system used, but no matter how you cut it...

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

Half the AFL members are Collingwood. (that might be a slight exaggeration but not by much). Carlton, Essendon and Richmond probably take up another 30-35%. Dogs, Hawthorn, Geelong and Fitzroy/Brisbane have never been major players in AFL membership numbers.

when supply exceeds demand it does.

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

There is an argument to say the way to ensure guaranteed GF tickets as an AFL member is become a Collingwood Club Support. If they make it you get a ticket, if they don't you should be right. But I would not be able to live with myself.

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

that was about 4 mins later than last year. I was 2nd in line in Canberra and got them, there was only about 5-6 people in line but the ones at the back didn't.

At the Women's World Cup in Australia? Yep there was a FIFA Ticketing App that you had to use to access your tickets. It was probably linked up to Ticketek somehow because I am sure they used the same turnstiles at Stadium Australia. But the QR code on the ticket would only show when you were...

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

there is normally a way to transfer through the app. for the FIFA World Cup, the barcodes only came to life when you were in the vicinity of the stadium.

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

you should try that again at 3:55pm. If there are still tickets, there should be at least some tickets for Silver. otherwise reasonable to ask why not?

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

that probably has some effect on the neutrals. Mind you there have been two finals at the MCG with 3 reasonably smaller Victorian clubs and there have been massive crowds.

if you are a gold member (who hasn't used their barcode) you can probably go onto the dining site now and look.

Along with many of your Collingwood mates - hence the reason the reserve is nearly sold out every C’wood game even if the rest of the ground is far from full.

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

Collingwood played in three grand finals in 2010/11. Many Pies fans missed tickets and joined the AFL which saw a big spike.

AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

No one has waited 30 years, in fact I don’t think anyone has waited half of that yet, that is just your prediction for the future which may or may not become true. But what is the alternative? It has to be capped, and if existing members can successfully 1) not die and 2) pay their money each...

Last year there were probably 8000 gone in the first sale. This year less than 800.

I am. I am actually a member of both Swans and Lions (AFL club support Lions) even though I am an Essendon supporter. Now living in Brisbane so attached it to Lions so I get access to the Gabba games. Also Foundation Member of GWS from 20 years living in Canberra and a Suns 6 game member too...

    Barassi Line GF

Yep, last year there was an empty seat next to me. I said to the bloke in between - “that’s strange GF day and there is an empty seat between us.” The guy said “I actually bought it for my wife, but sadly she passed away.” I said “that’s terrible, really sorry to hear that, but isn’t there a...

Those clubs did play on the Saturday, Essendon lost at home to Geelong and Collingwood away to St Kilda. They then backed up on the Monday just 41 hours later. Both sides then had Sat 9 July off. Still doesn’t explain why it was played at 10.30am.

That trove article doesn’t make much sense. It perhaps explains why the match was played on Kings Birthday but not why it started at 10.30am. Did those teams also play on the Saturday? Good effort to fit a 36 hole comp at Riversdale at that time of year. Either wasn’t a big field or they played...
