Do you know if he played after the 7 St kilda games?
i can't see anything on Trove
He went to the UK for a year in 1951 and then came back to train with St Kilda in 1952 (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article279789735) but never got another senior game
Looks like he ended up living at Traralgon for a while, and played football for the town in 1954, at least:

SANFL related but John Cahill's tweeted the death of Brian Fairclough.


Brian was Jack Cahill's right hand man for over 20 years, and a pretty important cog in the 10 flags Jack coached at Port.
 
Hawthorn '61 Premiership player Malcolm Hill passed away sometime in the last week.

If anyone can find the actual date... much appreciated. Wiki has it as today, but I'm pretty sure that's not right.

I think his middle name was Walker.

Has it been confirmed if he and the present day Serong brothers are related?
Going by the Herald Sun tribute I would suggest not immediate family anyway - maybe a branch of
