Good on him for helping out, but I'd be more interested in the tennis player who sees a ball kid behind him/her about to collapse and say, "F**k that kid" and ignore it.
Not quite.
He scored 32 in the first game against the Sixers which they lost. He also scored a golden against the Heat coming in with only 4 runs needed.
Maxwell also got 20* off 10 in the first game against the Renegades - but came in with about 40 needed of four overs and got them over the...
The Stars performance was terrible. The top order batting since Duckett left is paper thin (how does Rogers get anywhere near getting a game? And what was Harper's shot?) relying too heavily on Maxwell having to consistently dig them out of holes. But the fielding was atrocious - as poor as...
This may be fair and correct. But by any reckoning, Luke's actual performances in the losing team wasn't up to scratch regardless of whether he was captain or not. And on that note, neither was Jy's. We need both to play better in 2025 (although in Luke's case I'm not sure where he fits in)
I agree with this. When I was on the Footy Show he made a point of speaking to people and making them feel comfortable. It was quite deliberately done, but he was very good at it.
I don't know anyone who he's 'popular' with but he clearly is popular within the industry. He appears to work hard, has a lot of powerful contacts, is ambitious and is a polished presenter comfortable behind a microphone or in front of a camera. At the same time, like Mark Howard, he's in awe of...
Andy Maher is another, but he's better than Chompers...just. On Before the Game back in the day or on Front Bar, Maher plays the straight man pretty well. He never tries to upstage the comedians, recognises the humour when it's there and plays along, and ties it all together well enough.
But on...
It's incredible someone as unfunny and with such a terrible sense of humour as Tony Jones hosts a TV program which is supposed to be funny. He has no capacity to laugh at himself, and his attempts at being funny, such as this one, are so wildly off the mark it's embarrassing.

In fairness, O'Neill was going straight down the middle of the pitch. Why any team would go into a T20 with only 5 players capable of bowling is beyond me. Josh Brown was bowling trash.
For their perpetual shitness and sheer level of dopey crap that they do, the Renegades are truly the North...
One of my favourites. Disgrace his name never comes up for the Hall of Fame. Nearly 300 games, 2 B&Fs when Carey was at his peak, another at the Swans. Premiership player, regular state player, All-Australian. Clearly the second most talented player at the club in the 90s yet Stevo, Arch and...
A game we lost - Round 8, 2018 v Richmond
Ben Cunnington breaks the all time contested possession record with 32. The next best ever is 29 and the best since is 28. An incredible footballer, respected but probably still underrated across the competition.
Now that real cricket is over, I wish the footy was back. Then we wouldn't be debating umpiring decisions from over 20 years ago in a game that didn't matter and we were beaten in anyway.
Imagine Australia dropping out of the Top 6 and for at least three years hosting West Indies, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh with no Ashes or BGT home or away. Boxing Day vs Ireland. Can't wait. The sheer arrogance of Australia, India and England to believe this would never happen (all...
He's literally won or retained every trophy available to him since becoming captain.
Ashes ✅
Border-Gavaskar ✅
ICC Test Championship ✅
ODI World Cup ✅
Trans-Tasman Trophy ✅
Frank Worrell Trophy ✅
Benaud-Qadir Trophy ✅
Warne-Murali Trophy ✅
Whatever trophy us and the Saffers play for ✅
But...
Good entertainment so that's fun. I don't like it from both sides.
I wonder if Konstas had failed on Boxing Day, would he still be behaving the way he is? My guess is no. He's a fair way ahead of himself at the moment. Fair enough. He's young and excited and receiving more attention than he...
I get the last one. The boundary line is the front of the Toblerone so of it hits it on the full it's gone over the 'line'.
You could write a fat book in cricket things that make no sense. Don't get me started on leg byes.
Conspiracy theory.
This match would have been over on day three had your pitch been served up. What attendance and TV viewer numbers would have been lost? We can serve up that pitch on Boxing Day against the Saffers and Pakistan. Not against India or England. The last Ashes Test was done by...
I'll bite. Anyone who thinks that was a boring Test and that Jasprit Bumrah isn't as good as Scott Boland should be immediately ignored when it comes to cricket.
It wasn't a fantastic pitch, but it wasn't bad. For the first three days it had nothing. It didn't swing, seam, spin and the bounce...
