Here's something that will rattle bedford cage.
Here's Glen Eira council's 2022 order of priority for redeveloping/renovating the existing facilities that was updated from 2017.
Greg Tivendale also look away now. If McKinnon Reserve is No 6 then you're at least 3 years away from 'community...
Yep Glen Eira giving a big 'F' You to those clubs mentioned above and their senior affiliates are now paying for that decision. Good on them.
Murrumbeena doing very well out of the St Peters JFC alignment
Everyone can hate on Glen Eira for starting U/19s & taking the talent pool, but some on here have short memories.
There'd be a few readers on here involved in affiliated clubs who knocked back their application to start juniors in the SMJFL way back when, so they played the long game.

to make a change, you have to have an alternative solution. Send Div 1 back to Springvale?
Weather was ordinary which would have kept many away & most would've sat under the grandstand rather than spread out around the ground
Well here's my 'take it to the bank' post from about Round 5, writing East Malvern off also. Seems I thought more highly of Endeavour Hills than I should of
That's a pretty big cop out. Not everything is the league's fault, especially injuries to players. Fact over the matter is Cheltenham 19s in the first 4 weeks:
• drew with Heatherton (Div 2 grand finalist - ranked 1st)
• won by 129 points v Ashwood (finished 5th)
• won by 42 points v Lyndhurst...
VAFA is $17, so ball park. Don't forget footy leagues went without finals revenue in 2020 & 2021. A broken record, but costs have risen with basically everything.
What do you propose is a reasonable entry fee? $15? Its only $5 extra
We all want the best: grounds, facilities, premiership cups...
Not necessarily. You're forgetting that all their recruits, as well as all players 2 points & above, if retained next season, will lose a point.
Therefore they will have 13 points to play with, from Saturday's game (potentially 3-4 players) that they can recruit.
Add any decent U/19s from this...
Not enough weeks in the year to play everyone twice either so the fixture would be compromised. Don’t anyone give me this “top 6 play each twice and bottom 6 teams once” scenario
What the league have structured for next season is the common sense thing to do. Yeah I’d like to play everyone...
Chelsea Heights were told back in May it was on the cards as were Bentleigh. I can’t read the article in the Leader but I’m not sure why they’d be surprised.
EDFL players got paid $500 for their troubles as well which helped with their incentive to play. Just go ask the guy in the picture wearing the EDFL jumper ;)
Absolutely agree, the standard of SFNL Div 1 has lifted no doubt. In 2015 there was only one team in it (Dingley) & everyone else was playing for 2nd. In 2024 we have (at full strength) there are 3 teams that can win it, with Cheltenham out in front
The comparison was a Dingley 2015 v...
Ok so lets compare the pair
Dingley 2015 Premiers
1. Steve Gaertner 2. Daniel Bolger 3. Marcus Freeman 5. Bret Lavers 7. Tony Lavers 9. Travis La Rocca 10. Danny Ades
11. Josh Boyle 12. Luke Bartholomew 13. Matthew Morwood 15. Stuart Cleeve 16. Daniel Farmer 18. Andrew Frost
19. Thomas Wright...
