I've played Newport many times over the last few years and can confirm that nothing has changed, the entire team is ready to throw hands at the slightest and most ordinary thing (e.g a push), and it's not your ordinary footy biff it's a bunch of thugs with a gang mentality. Newport supporters...
There is literally no use having the 666 in the wrfl I haven't seen anything come of not complying except the opponent having a whinge to the field umpire and the umpire shrugging because his mate has just thrown the ball up
I'm conscious of this thread turning into an IR debate but I'm curious, where are these stats? People are definitely working more today just to keep up with the cost of living... don't be fooled by the definition of full time employment
I'm impartial to all of this and know there's two sides to everyone story but every encounter I've ever had with Braybrook has been marred by dirty players. I'm sure the people behind the scenes do a great job and work tirelessly and I can respect you sticking up for your club but it's the few...
yep.. all of the derelicts have gone as well as that some guns too.. but I watched a bit of the game on the weekend/have been keeping up to date with results and I noticed that the team is working together much better and there's a better culture which made me think that lavo is probably better...
Plenty of new blokes down there.. would say 80% of last years team has left so credit to Sam and Tim for keeping the doors open. Hopefully things finally turn around for the club, if not good on them for still fronting up and fielding two teams every year.

I think the player retention issue comes from greed and having the wrong people controlling the clubs $$. Parkside/west/glen orden.. all "recent" year d2 powerhouses had success based on throwing money at people who were only there for the glory and $ and all three have had "extraordinary"...
I think d2/d3 are a mess... the whole argument of making one div 2 again doesn't really solve much cause there would be an even bigger gap for the bottom end teams.. but then what happens if glen orden drop down? and what does it look like if they aren't allowed but parkside could and play in...
I suppose so. I can see it from both sides.. I guess I'm just looking at it from the idea of west having to fold and having one less team in div 2. Overall, it's all a cop out to teams like lavo, north etc have struggled and been dominated by these teams.
After looking at the weekends results I think Parkside should be forced up to div 2 and West should be dropped to div 3. As unfair as it all sounds for struggling div 2 teams and teams that have been struggling for years.. Parkside were in the same predicament as west last year and got dropped -...
West's problem was bringing in coaches in 2014 that didnt care about the club and only wanted to improve their win/loss record.. and then blowing big on $$ chasers that didnt care about the club either.. all good and well when you're riding the wave of success for two years but when everyone (as...
d3 was created to give the clubs parkside put their foot to the throat of a chance at actually being successful - after all the glory when it came time to face an actual challenge in d1 they all walked out - shows what they were really playing for. Parksides 1's this year is going to consist of...
