Not often I agree with what you say, but this I do.
I was thinking the same thing, this would mean that Sunbury (Lions and Kangas), Melton, Melton South, Darley and Gisborne are RDFL teams too because that is their history.
A team belongs where it is best suited and challenged (not overwhelmed).
At the end of the day, clubs can enquire all they want and offer the cash/package they want, but ultimately it is up to the player to agree.
Can’t always blame the clubs for wanting to be the best or stay the best.
That is only one possible scenario out of 11 teams that can have a bye in the last round.
Not a plausible excuse to not consider a final 5. But agree. A final 4 would probably work best, but the league won’t want to give up the cash it can earn from those extra games. So we will most likely...
I don’t think this decision was made lightly. It’s been talked about and planned for for a number of seasons. As stated previously, the main reason is because they can get enough netballers to field 4 teams. Which is understandable considering there are 3 other teams close by (4 if you include...
I saw the same article and thought it was poor form from Ward to get on the defensive this way. I never got the impression that the Kangaroos has a major problem with the league and were trying to help themselves out of a situation after years of trying.
For Ward to say that the club didn’t...
One if the main reasons for the move is that they don’t need to have netball teams. They haven’t been able to fill the teams for the last few seasons and the two teams that they had this year only won 1 game between them.
This will be a good move for the Kangas.
Too little, too late for the...

Well done to Roxy on their win, but if this was the message in the pre match, I’m thinking one player in particular (and I think we all know who it was) doesn’t really understand what this type of football looks like.
The real difference between the two sides came down to some of the older...
There would be plenty of precedences to go by.
When I was playing U18s many years ago, we were meant to play one team in a premlim final, but they were found to have played an unregistered or ineligible player. The missed out on playing and instead we played the team that the had beaten the...
It not that it’s not up to standard, the BFL doesn’t like to hold finals this far “east”. The Marsh is as far as they will come.

But we do have a Clarke Oval, which is big and open and can fit in a huge crowd.
EDFL and WRFL don’t play regular games at Windy Hill or Whitten Oval through the year, so the idea of not playing games at Clarke Oval because it is not an RDFL ground is ridiculous. And one could argue that it...
For the love of god NO!! East Sunbury would have to be stark raving mad to appointed Manning or Horwood. Seriously?!?
Maybe someone new, their first senior coaching gig, fresh ideas.
Steve Grey was great for the club and it will be sad to see him go.

Great idea but I think he is on a good thing over Bundoora way. Running the whole coaching team from seniors down to U17s I think.
Very good coach that could turn a clubs fortunes around.

You’ve suggested that Rupo might struggle on a small ground against Diggers in your last two posts... how big do you think Rupo’s ground is? It’s just as small, if not smaller, than Diggers.
No doubt it will be a great game, but I don’t see Rupo struggling.
That would take far too much common sense on behalf of the players, and you know what they say about common sense these days...

What are you talking about. The only signings they have announced are all the players they have re-signed from last season and the 2 returning players.
Why a footy ops manager would not consent to retaining players and signing returning players (who are guns, mind you), especially with the...
I think the idea behind bringing in another eastern block team (Rupo) is to actually reduce he travel for the current eastern teams. If there are 6 Ballarat based teams and 6 eastern teams, the eastern teams would only travel to Ballarat about 4 times a season.
Travelling to Bacchus and Darley...
