It's odd that they only gave Smith and Docherty a 10% discount yet gave other players who missed all of 2024 the usual 30%. Supercoach did the same which is not unusual as they are both run by Sportsdeck, yet AFL fantasy gave both the full discount.
I suppose with the full 30% everyone would...
My January team is as follows:
No doubt it will change considerably before round 1 but I like the look of it at the moment.
Defenders - Sheezel. Dale, Short, Mills, Coleman, Trevalia Bice, Allan
Mids - Bont, Walsh, Brayshaw, Rozee, Oliver, Smith, Smilie, Lindsay Draper, El Hawli, Rowston...
I have grave doubts about McCartin playing as a forward.
We all know that he is maybe only one concussion away from not playing again.
Anyone who thinks that he will not be regularly wacked in the head from defenders claiming that they were really trying to hit the ball has no idea of what it's...
What will the flex position be used for?
Originally, I thought it would be useful to use it for a third ruck as the traditional R3 is non playing.
Then again, would it be better to use it with another rookie as more cash generation?
I'm firmly of the believe it's not "will Warner leave but when will he leave"? If he doesn't leave at the end of next he will more than likely take a two year extension taking him to free agency at the end of 2027. He surely leaves then giving us basically nothing in return as that draft will...
Tha AFL constantly tell us that they listen to it's fans. What a load of crock!!
All the coaches, all the players and more importantly, all the fans hate it and want it gone. The AFL ignore all that and prefer to listen to some obscure source telling them that it's better if it stays.
I don't need to be welcomed to MY country at every bloody event held in this country. The AFL's decision to host a Welcome to Country prior to every AFL game is a farce. I'm hoping a few fans get jack of it and start yelling out "This IS my country".
What you went through Rusty was absolutely disgraceful and it just goes to show what a farce the Catholic church is. Funnily enough (sorry, it's not funny) but I was brought up as a Catholic as my mother was a staunch Catholic. As a result, I was an altar boy for a few years, went to a Catholic...
No. It was my mistake. I went to ticketek via the Swans email, which, unbeknown to me, was simply to buy tickets for our game. Had I just logged into Ticketek, I would have seen the 4 game options.
Once I'd bought our game tickets, my barcodes then became invalid.
I stuffed up when booking the tickets. I wanted a 4 game pass but only ordered tickets for the Swans game. Stupid, I know. The two Adelaide team games will be booked out by tomorrow.
I don't disagree with you at all.
I just see the parallel to Bailey Smith and why he left the Dogs. He was pissed that he wasn't getting the midfield time he thought he should be.
To be totally honest, I would not be too disappointed if we traded him to WC at the end of 2025 for their 2025...
I feel if Warner is pushed out of the midfield into more of a forward role, he will be heading to WA for 2026.
It sounds like Bailey Smith all over again.
Warner would demand midfield time or "see ya later".
I don't think the question of "will Warner go back to WA" applies anymore. I think the only relevant question is "when".
If I'm correct, there will be no value at all if he leaves at the end of '27. The draft will be heavily favoured for Tassie and any draft picks we get from WCE, for example...
It was a ridiculous comment because he wanted everyone replaced now. Not over a period of years such as you have shown. The poster was accusing our club as being a failure due to the grand final losses. Wonder what he'd be saying if he followed Essendon. Now, there is a failure.
that is probably the most ridiculous comment I have read on this board in years. Stability is absolutely necessary for success. If you believe 8 GF appearances in the past 28 years, in an era of equalisation, is not a success story, you have no concept of how a footy club needs to be run...
It's odd to think that we were favourites in all of our 4 losing grand finals under Horse. The only successful year in 2012, Hawthorn were heavy favourites to beat us.
You're right. I didn't think of the loss of Daniher. He is a loss as I don't rate Hipwood at all, especially now with Daniher gone.
I'm thinking more of who gets added to their GF team. 4 ACL injured players returning plus 2 excellent additions via the draft.
This is a post that should be for Swans fans only due to the nature of the subject. You have made your points, albeit to the annoyance of everyone here, so, as you have been asked several times, please move on and do not post again.
The difference between Richmond's F2 which will no doubt be the first pick of round 2 and our F2 could be as much as 15-20 with all the F/S and academy selections expected to occur next year.
