Graham wasn’t traded. He signed as a UFA, so nothing Richmond could do.
The only connection that could have been made between signing Graham and trading for Baker, is one WCE created eg Baker was only going to agree to be traded to WCE if they signed Graham. I would argue this weakened WCE...

I would much rather our draft hand from the last 2 years than it being reversed. Pick 1 and Reid last year compared with pick 1 this year is not even close
I’m not saying paying pick 14 isn’t overs for Baker but I think picks in general are over valued especially looking at our drafting ability.

Currently our list is closer to 50% non WA players. So potentially still somewhat problematic for half our list.
Farming the players out also does have the issue, that they are training mostly with the AFL team and then expected to play on the weekend with guys...
For the most part I agree with this, but I do wonder if farming out kids to different clubs would have quite the same benefit that Davis has with the senior players at Claremont. These are probably guys who have been at the club a while, seen him come up through juniors and he has been a part of...
