68 063 for the game against NZ at Accor Stadium.
While Rugby isn't in the best spot at the moment, still some strong crowds around the country.
Good support always for the All Blacks, Boks fans were out in force in Brisbane and assume Perth.
Tickets sales have been excellent for the Lions...
I like what Joe is doing, think he's on the right track. Time is against him though. There is only 6 or so tests left.
We have showed in parts we can match it with the Boks, Pumas and ABs, just not for 80 mins.
Still excited for the tour next year.
When you include pre season, Origin, Finals, internationals, travel the current season is too long. 32 rounds is way to many, it's a pretty brutal sport.
The current season is a couple rounds too long in my opinion. Also, Need to get to 18 teams soon and even up the fixture.
The Tigers for...
Yeh agreed. Surely given next year. If they don't make finals then yeah Kev probably goes.
Had a laugh at Webcke being pissed off and not liking Maguire as a replacement because he coaches NSW.
Wonder if the extra seats will be used for the Lions Tour match next year?
Side note Perth should have had the Lions test match instead of Brisbane. IMHO. An extra 8 or 9k in seating compared to Suncorp. Guess Qld paid more.
Wallabies have had some really good crowds this year. Considering the RWC failure and other issues RA has been through.
35 945 v Wales - Sydney (Allianz)
21 932 v Wales - Melbourne (AAMI)
26 139 v Georgia - Sydney (Allianz)
52 019 v Sth Africa - Brisbane (Suncorp)
58 197 v Sth Africa - Perth...
A 60k oval stadium at Victoria Park is a no brainer.
Incorporate it with the Victoria Park parklands upgrade.
Makes use of the new cross river rail.
Variety of rail stations nearby, Roma St, Exhibition, FV, Central.
New Brisbane Metro using the northern busway.
Heap of bus options. Everywhere...
Know it's a fair way out, but thought I'd try to get some discussion on the rugby board up and running.
Been watching this year's Wallabies tests so far to see how they are tracking towards next year. A lot of work to get games and experience in squad for a huge series next year. Was great to...
Yeh agreed. He will get a long suspension. I dislike Qld and the Broncos, but love watching Walsh play.
I want us the beat them with him playing 80 mins. Which we are yet to do.
Yeh Sua'ali'i shouldn't have done it. He didn't even shut down the play. Cost his team for sure.
I can't recall what happens In club land last weekend. Yet remembering any send offs this year.
It's all part of another disappointing origin game for NSW.
Do you honestly reckon the NRL community of players in 2024 go head hunting to deliberately hurt other players?
I'm happy with the send off. Just thought there could be some other options regarding the punishment for NSW and maybe an an idea for replacement players during games.
I reckon you can still disadvantage a team with a send off of the player and down 12 men for 20mins. Along with all the penalty option for the other team and having an appropriate reserve option that can be used in these cases.
Every week players get hit in the head and aren't sent off. Yeo...
It's worth a discuss around the send off. I go for NSW and it's a send off. Have to protect the head.
Using Wednesday nights example. Sua'ali'i is sent from the field and can't return. NSW are down to 12 men for 20 minutes, before a returning to 13. NSW are now down to 3 on the bench.
Walsh is...
His form, South's being terrible and suspensions have cost him for sure.
But... when he has play for NSW he's been pretty bloody good. hopefully Latrell finds some form over the next couple of weeks and gives us at least some options to discuss. It's pretty bare our there with so many injuries.
Bit of a left field idea. But always though Latrell Mitchell as your 14 utility could work. Can cover multiple positions or come at a point in the game and just float around, provide some headaches to Qld. Could be that X factor NSW needs.
If you can't get Bennett, why sack BA? There not really anyone else out there.
Who at Parra reckons Trent Barrett is a better option for the rest if the season, than Arthur?
Moses, Gutherson and Materson are expected back round 13. Once those blokes are back, bet we see a different side.
2 days in to the 2nd year of it and already looking at ways to change it.
Just leave it and let it naturally expand and grow over the coming years. 1 a year works, any more will take the gloss off it.
Allow it to grow and hopefully become a must attend event in Adelaide.
Wonder if it would have been better playing 5, 6 or 7 T20I and no ODIs. Pick the extended squad that is going to the WC and get games into them. Each city could have had a game. 1 each 2nd or 3rd night, done in 2 weeks.
Test players could have rested the first half of matches, then full...
What I have seen.
First ball wasn't until 10:32am.
Umpire fixing the stumps in the first 15 minutes.
Batters Complaining about the sightscreens in the first hour.
Just to name a few.
Rain looks around 5pm. Not even going to be close to 75 - 80 overs.
The SCG old stands along with the new Bradman and Noble stands are amazing. The rest is old and makes the whole stadium strange.
The Bill OReilly stand is Terrible. Needs replacing.
