The mouthpiecing that occurs is obtuse. Every Victorian team has one. Even Twomey who I rate draft wise is a massive Essendon mouthpiece. The Saad deal last year was hilarious as Beveridge and Twomey basically just narrated the behind the scenes happenings daily on Trade Radio
Heard that too and agree. PSD and enjoy North if Carlton do that. However it’s probably relevant that Beveridge is the Carlton AFL media mouthpiece, him negotiating through trade radio/desk on behalf of Carlton has been done before so it’s not surprising it’s happening again
Unfortunately as Taylor and Dockeroo mentioned earlier in the thread, the pick moves back the second the final siren sounds on the last round of the year, so from that point forward the deficit is applied and we lose our spots
So if our pick becomes 12 after the deficit from pick 8, does that factor in the standalone pick 11 that gold coast kindly donated to geelong last year? Would that make it pick 13 before any bids coming through? I feel we can still get a really good player in that range and as nurries said the...
(not FreoBraddles so apologies) There wasn't a whole lot in this particular drill, other than the initial tackle on Longy to get the ball off him. It seemed to be mostly a zoning off and focus on moving the ball quickly at 45s, identifying targets in quick succession.
A different drill where...
He was in the rehab group for the majority of time, lot of laps with the stopwatch. Looks bigger and stronger than he did last year, but I'm unsure why he was with the rehab boys, maybe someone else may know
Would love to trade a future second to Sydney to grab one of their picks in the 20s or 30s, gives them points for their likely 2 first round academy talents next year and gives us a crack at a sliding WA boy in Sharp, Taylor and (probably quite unlikely) Robertson
Henry must be getting some attention from clubs if Twomey is talking him up, he’s got the contacts in clubland and that’s why his last phantoms are always close to dead on
He was working with Bewley toward the end of training who was stepping out his run up and manning the mark, not sure if he's got a really good routine or something, Tabs was looking pretty frustrated by the end of the day and he's only getting into his own head the more he misses unfortunately.
Was a warm one down at training today, but the boys seemed in great spirits, didn't seem to be too serious out there and I think the main takeaway at the end of it is that Hogan is absolutely loved by everyone, every fan there was scrambling for a photo and an autograph and he looked like he was...
Made it down for my first session of the year. If anything of note happens I’ll let you all know. Great turn out for the fan day though! Lots of kids around which is great to see
