Hello The Mongrel Punt . Just quick one to say your articles are very good. Insightful and well written, you are now my go to for any game reviews. More contact and depth than nearly every other media outlet, and always fair and balanced. Top job HB Meyers and team!
Same here, he seemed to be getting around the ground a bit. Not sure why so many supporters don't like him. Not saying he's a first choice ruckman, but he has been more than serviceable, all things considered.
Am I the only one who thinks Hickey did alright? His stats look pretty bad, but he seemed to be applying a fair bit of pressure and getting around the ground.
Thanks everyone for their replies. Thoroughly enjoying the various podcasts.
Also, does anyone know of a podcast that covers most major sports (AFL, NRL, NBA, NFL, Soccer etc)?
Thanks again
I mostly listen to the variety hour for a laugh, and I find Rip Through It a refreshing view on what players think. Not using either of them for analysis or gaining AFL knowledge.

I do a reasonable amount of travelling and was hoping for some recommendations on good AFL podcasts. Preferably ones with good insight and/or humourous.
I have been listening to Rip Through It by Mitch Robinson and also The Variety Hour by Titus O'Reily and Sergio...

If the midfield can up their defensive pressure, we will get this. Need to force the saints midfield to kick long. Hoping Vards gets physical here to try and win back his spot so that we can go back to the two ruckmen plan when Hickey is fit.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't O Allen...
Just a thought, and this may already exist, but here goes:
Which team/s would you like to see win a premiership so that a player on that team can finish, knowing they got the ultimate prize in AFL?
For example:
Freo for David Mundy's sake. He's been through all the highs and lows, stuck with...
Liked:
Port - good coaching from Hinkley. Eagles needed a wake up call.
Saints - Jarryn Geary showing the traits of a very good leader.
Eddie Betts - class act on and off the field
Freo's win - brilliant. So much fun to watch and a real refresher from the standard Ross Lyon style. Taberner would...
