If I could have my Footy Time Machine(TM) it would be to see Bob Murphy raise the cup after playing in the 2016 GF.

Luke hodge, poor bugger..

I actually wouldn't mind that.

He's already had more success than most players can dream of, but a Hodge flag would mean a Brisbane 2019 or maybe 2020 flag which would be huge for them given where they were a couple of years ago.

Hodge was one of Hawthorn's best (ever) and won AAs, B&Fs, two Norm Smiths... During their 3peat he polled 10-15 Brownlow votes each year. Last year he came 8th in the B&F of the team that came 15th and polled 0 Brownlow votes. This year he might scrape into the Lions' top 10 and he might not. He's really a slow old bloke recruited to be a playing coach in a young side and is doing that role nicely. I wouldn't begrudge him finishing with a 5th premiership medal as Brisbane's 10th or 15th best player.

Our back 6 in the 2006 GF had 5 guys 25 or under and Wirrpanda at 27. Drew Banfield (32, 265th and final game and in our bottom handful of players picked) came off the bench and went onto Nick Davis. Obviously his standing in the game isn't as high as Hodge but it was valuable having an old head which is why Hodge is still kicking around now.

Not. player now but I would't mind seeing Buckley win one as a coach.

Currently playing would be happy for Callan Ward, Matt Kruezer, Kade Simpson, Jarryd Geary, Nathan Jones, David Mundy - these players are the best clubmen in the AFL not to have won one.

I'll probably get plenty of abuse for this, but I'd actually like to see Mirch Robinson get one. As much as he gets aggressive and annoys people, he has resurrected his career.

Also, can you imagine the guy in a game like the grand final? Would be awesome to watch!

Danger at Adelaide was likeable enough and a very good player.
Danger joining Geelong was likeable enough and became an even better player.

Danger since maybe late 2016 or early 2017 would be a top 5 disliked player in the comp. I don't think anyone begrudges his individual success and his team hasn't won anything, we're just sick of seeing his face every 5 minutes.

Yet I assume you had no problem with Ben Cousins?
Every friggen newspaper had fluff pieces, some bullshit report on the tv every night. I remember one time the whole front page of The West was about Benny coming back after the offseason with three day growth, all whilst the smug campaigner was swanning around sticking his middle finger up at everyone.
