Not advocating letting blokes getting horrible spinal injuries but Jack Buckley no good deed goes unpunished. Incredibly quick thinking and nice that Heeney's mum recognised that.

    AFL Player #25: Jake Stringer

Club general manager of list and recruiting Adrian Dodoro said Hibberd's strengths and experience make him capable of having an instant impact at the club. “Mitch is a premier player in the VFL competition, he is a big inside midfielder, has outstanding endurance and deserves an opportunity,”...

    AFL Player #25: Jake Stringer

Might be a part why we destroy so many guys. We did recruit a big bodied mid a few years back (Hibberd) but he didn't actually play as an inside bull. Dodoro just saw a big body and midfielder, and assumed that = inside bull. Then you hear Judkins go into detail why he recruited Dane Swan to...

I love Sheeds but his spat with Judkins eventually gave us the gift of Dodoro.

It might be the culture he walked into but I think Jones is mentally fragile compared to Dear.

Most of the time Gresham is avoiding kicking straight drop punts instead trying to dribble or kick around corners or pass it off. When Mass was jumping all over one of those Hawks players after they kicked a goal I was genuinely stoked for him - we would have been well on the path to destroying him.

Footy Dept. Talent & Operations Manager Matt Rosa

Just got the feeling Rosa will be more competent than others that have been making list decisions for us. Might need Vozzo to get Brad out of his way and Dodo out of the club finally.

Though imagine Marto in a club that actually develops and cultivates talent rather than destroys by throwing him all over the shop. His kicking earlier days had me thinking of Jarman.

Meanwhile according to a longtime Blitz poster we offered Jake Kelly a 2 yr contract. If true he did his own version of Dave Myers putting himself into retirement.

Clarity. I don't think their hierarchy have any confusion on the type of player to take the club forward. Then they are very clear on how they want them to play and now the confidence is shining.

AFL Player #26: Kaine Baldwin - Not offered a contract for 2025, thanks Kaine! 26/8

Even the first kick the vision was good I suspect he has Loewe level hands. The only level above that is Dunstall level. There is no fumbling there despite intense pressure, clean one touch. We could do with his tackling too - guys stay tackled - none of these pathetic half arsed efforts. I...

AFL Player #26: Kaine Baldwin - Not offered a contract for 2025, thanks Kaine! 26/8

Not sure what his speed is like (worked on explosiveness last p/s) but has a motor and is old school broad shoulders and probably huge hands with the way he clunks. The mark he took with Tom Stewart right on his hammer at 1 minute clean as a whistle under that pressure - most of our guys...

I read an article that Cloke hit the guys brother late and he is still in hospital with brain swelling.

    AFL Player #10: Sam Weideman

Indeed he has played decent patches - the other guys you mention struggled for years to string 3 games in a row. Baldwin would have been a leader down back that we needed - had footy brains. Scott waited forever last year to play him then in the last match he got knocked out 3 minutes in. Smells...

Petracca not in our window, plus I am not sure how well he recovers from that organ damage. Lloyd's was more mild and he felt like crap for 6 months. Petracca isn't the cleanest kick either, we need polish and with that injury not sure you are getting that bull he was.

AFL Player #26: Kaine Baldwin - Not offered a contract for 2025, thanks Kaine! 26/8

Couldn't have said it better. Will be very nasty for us if he has a bit of luck health wise and I don't think he has a Hunter or Reid level body reliability level problem. Thought we could have at least rookied him. Perhaps his foot is real bad although trust in our hierarchy to not burn elite...

AFL Player #29: Jake Kelly - Announces Retirement. Thanks Bull! 2/9

The funny thing is Bryan looks very unsure of what is about to happen but not the Brisbane player - he fully expected a beautiful looping handball from the opposition while in the clear 20m from goal. They would have been briefed pre game that our defense is calamity central and to expect such...

This and I said it last year when he returned - he doesn't have the skill level that we can carry him now that he was no longer committing to the contest - very few do.

Butters felt his wrath in the last - went straight down the middle of him. Apparently Freos strongest bench press.
