Yep - very difficult.
I would nearly have Hird, Madden, Lloyd then Watson.
TD, Fletch, Long, Neagle, Wangers, Jobe in the top 10.
Next 10 -> Salmon, Mercs (rolls royce), Harvey, Zerrett, Baker, Lucas, Foulds, Misiti (legend), R Merrett, Vanders
unlucky - Hawker (also legend) G O'D, Budgie.
I reckon we had already shown our (fading) colours by the Friday night game vs Collingwood.
We were just going marginally better than them at the time and we got the win - but not much to write home about in that game. IMO, of course.
Can't see us making finals.
Sure we play the same sport (AFL) but compared to the teams in the finals, the sport we play is the only similarity.
They are so much more organised, selfless, desperate & skilled.
When finals matches come - it is a stark difference & highlights to me how 'not up to...
Nailed it.
Too many cats in that list... pointless.
I still have listened to some of them - but Baggers, Stan Carey, Saad & Carlisle? And the current plodders who have achieved zero. Spare me!
Our next super star player of that ilk probably isn't even on the list yet. I think we have a lot to prove in terms of nurturing and educating players with talent even when we do identify/select them.
You'll be sick of typing it...
I hope that little prefix makes its way into normal life:
"As the boards reigning poster of the year... white with one, ta."
:tearsofjoy:
Spot on, Runk.
Why has he waited until now (where we actually seem to have some sort of vestige of a plan) vs a few years ago when we were absolutely fking rudderless and everyone - bar those at the the club - could see it.
And I also loved Weston the player.
