To be fair Gov has been presenting in excellent nick the last 2-3 preseasons really.
It’s why I was so happy to see him get AA last season and win the JW Medal - the hard work of him getting into top shape paying off
Can’t say I notice them changing shoes very often, but you’ll often see the rehab guys only wearing running shoes, which gives you a good indication they’re not doing much ball work in that session. Whereas the rest of the group does the whole session in footy boots as far as I know.
I think...
As expected, the last session before Christmas was a pretty big one - and longer than advertised on the club’s website which said 9-11am. The players came out at 9:15 and continued until 11:45, when they broke off to sign autographs. A couple hundred people here to watch the boys train - school...
Not sure, hasn’t been announced. I wouldn’t mind taking a punt on him if he trains well in the coming weeks, he’s a classy distributor off half back and really composed with the footy.
Now I think about it, he is actually quite similar to Burgiel in the way he plays
Made it down to training again this morning, a solid session to start the week. Similar to the last couple weeks, mainly focusing on ball movement with a little contested work, and regular 400m runs and set shot work to break it up. Session lasted around 2 hours (9:30 to 11:30 again), though...
Interesting - not doubting you necessarily but he was training on Monday, albeit spent the second half of the session away from the main group with Harvey Johnston.
Didn’t notice any injury on the track, but that’s unfortunate news if true.
Good to see the full squad back together again for the first time, with 5th+ year players returning from their break. Today’s session lasted around 2 hours, starting just after 9:30 and had begun to wind down around 11:45. A focus on ball movement again and of course the senior players’ MAS...

Not too much to note, other than Jack Graham making his first appearance, as well as Matt Flynn returning early...
Whoops, was actually just one year for 2025.

Nothing in the announcement regarding a rookie list promotion though
I do get the sense from hearing him speak and seeing him on social media that Sheed is quite a laid back, relaxed type of character.
Does he have the hunger to push himself back to full fitness and fight to get back into the side? All the while having a dodgy foot that could flare up at any...
As per the current CBA, we can only have 2 Cat B rookies on the list.
So signing Champion to that list means either Dewar or Livingstone has been upgraded to the Cat A or main list - probably Dewar as he signed a two-year contract extension this year.
Also means we’ll probably pass in the...
Barnett is definitely athletic enough. Quite well built for his age too. Purely guessing at this point but for me it looks like his issues lie between the ears. Not sure whether it’s more a lack of confidence, lack of aggression, lack of football ability or some combination of all three.
He...
After coughing up our 2024 R3 pick last year when moving up the draft order to select Clay Hall, our draft hand this year always looked a little light on for a rebuilding club - even before trading out pick 3.
In sliding back one draft spot this year, we still picked the guy we were keen on...
