Smile 2
Heard it was a good sequel, some even said better than the first. I must be missing something because I hated almost every second of it.
The main character annoyed me, all the song and dance routines were lame and I just wanted her to hurry up and die.
1/5
Miniseries are easy to forget too as they're usually a very brief moment in time, and can slide under the radar even upon release.
I'd possibly add The Terror S1 to this list, for this reason, not many people I talk to have heard of it.
Well I think that last few mins might confirm the time shift!
Great last episode, I wonder what S3 has in store? As long as they find a way to keep Steve Zahn on screen I'll be happy
Finished Station 11 yesterday and much to my surprise I ended up really enjoying it. It will stick with me for a few days yet.
It's not flawless but it swings for the boundary and delivers something a little bit different.
I had my reservations about the pretentious and annoying theatre troup...
In another thread I recently recommended HBOs Generation Kill (2008) - a pretty honest and cynical miniseries based on a book documenting the first invasion of US Marines into Iraq. Sort of a very messed up road movie.
It was pretty hyped on its release but has largely been lost to time and I...
Same here, I'd even seen Fatal Attraction a few times and never made the connection.
I always think of the UK hidden cam show Balls Of Steel where they had a segment called Bunny Boiler where a good looking girl would overtly hit on guys in public in front of their girlfriends.
They're constantly rushing from order to order because they earn absolute peanuts, as a result road rules, courtesy and etiquette get the chop.
I stopped using them at the end of Covid restrictions, so many items would go missing it's was getting out of hand.
No way in hell would I trust them...
I'll take you're word on it, living in St Kilda on a weekend is bad enough mate.
Last weekend I had a delivery guy blow through a stop sign, narrowly missing the front of my car, and when I beeped him he flipped me off.
At peak times the behaviour of these bikes legit reminds me of Vietnam.
Food delivery bikes.
I live in a one way street, and yesterday played chicken with two riders 30 seconds apart, one had a go at me.
The absolute nerve of going the wrong way and expecting to have right of way.
I try not to get angry whilst driving, but Jesus I swear people are getting more...
Sounds like I may persist a little further.
I really enjoyed the first Episode, but the 2nd took me a bit by surprise, but as you say those bloody theatre kids. Their stupid big smiles and love and comune crap gave me a stomach ache.
I started it and barely made it 10 mins, I think the opening had some sort of real grim child abuse themes and I was like "nup, dont need".
We Ozzie's do know a bleak drama, please add Little Fish and Jindabyne to this list, two films that came out around the same time and tuned me off local...
For a while there was getting a lot of "single women over 40" type ads, probably mail order brides.
It was quite upsetting because I don't look up anything dodgy at all and I don't need my wife seeing that.
I'm just guessing my algo makes me seem like a desperate old man, yay!
I absolutely love it, feels like a forgotten gem these days.
It gives me BOB comradery vibes but in a modern setting and a cynical, early 2000s pop culture rich tone.
The book by Evan Wright is 100% worth reading too.
It's much of the same with a lot more character development and backstory/world building probably worth a go if you've had a break from it.
Alan Tudyk is the main reason to watch it for me
I just binged both seasons of Shrinking in a week and as much as I love the show it was a bit of a push...
Took the dogs to the park at 7am and a couple of flogs playing kick to kick with a party speaker blaring shirty techno.
Felt like I walked into a Crossfit class, but even lamer.
YouTube algorithms and their dumb ads.
Yeh I know I'm over 40 now so I'm "old" but STOP recommending those cringe nostalgia videos about "90s kids will only understand".
And also, no I do not want to learn how to do a chair workout or sign up to Temu.
This could be in the "Things that make you...
