I believe you cannot hold a criminal trial as the dead would be unable to present evidence in defence. There may be other mechanisms (eg the coroner's court) with different powers.
I can direct you to the following sources.
Thebarton Boys Technical School - yearbook 1962 - BVE completed Intermediate in 1961.

Pearman indicated at trial that the corn starch was consistent with Corn Flakes. He also detected the presence of a protein that gave a similar reaction to tests of milk, which would reinforce the likelihood the source of the corn starch was corn flakes.
It was acknowledged in court that the photo used by the media had been taken prior to Richard's last haircut. This may have been the source, years later, of this story (hearsay) that his hair hadn't grown or had been cut.
Many suppressions associated with the VE cases are from the 1990 committal and are on the grounds of potential prejudice to the proper administration of justice, as such people were argued to be potential witnesses if VE was committed for trial for Barnes or Langley. Given the strong arguments...
Are you saying that the Mullighan Inquiry covered the deaths of AB/NM/PS/ML/RK? None of these were stated to be 'abused in state care'. Can you provide a source for this claim?

James was cleared of the unprofessional conduct charges on appeal.
My understanding is that at that time of Kelvin's death and Von Einem's trial, James and Manock worked relatively autonomously in the discharge of their...
Richard and his mates were hanging around the record shops and pinball parlours, which were also frequented by those selling weed. IIFC Adelaide High kids were usually in the know about such things, as were, I would imagine, kids at an 'alternative' school. You didn't need to go to a pub -...
