If it were those 2 it would be Hardeman's to lose given Goater will not be ready come round 1 and honestly imo don't think it would be a bad call at all, they may however opt for a more senior head in someone like Fisher if Colby will primarily up the wing
Kudos to LMac for taking the decision to step away from the C away from the coaches and players, it would have been a tough one for him especially given his ties to the club, but certainly the right one. Very happy with Nick and Harry as VC, certainly feels like Harry is being prepped with this...
Things are wrapping up here however a very encouraging sign as they were all coming to the benches for a drink, Barlow advocated for anyone wanting to do extras to grab a coach/team mate or if they wanted to head to recovery and I reckon every single player has gone back out for some goal...
Few players look like they are finished for the session, doing some running drills now, have also just realised that Wil Dawson not training today either
Yep both training and looking good. Urqhart looks to be a real good get, physically very built already. FOS is definitely a smooth mover he looks real nice when covering the ground.
Doing another near drill across the main part of the ground labelled as “game style 2” I believe (it might say Styfle? My glasses help but im still blind as hell lol) in 3 different teams. Just trying to working the ball up the field with defense working hard to cut off passing lanes, lots of...
There’s a few I don’t recognise, there’s a fairly tall guy who looks like Ben Davis but it’s definitely not him, McPherson was the other you noted who is there. I don’t think C Clarke is here I reckon I would have spotted him but I could be wrong. Downie is there also and must be a couple other...
Doing a cool drill with 3 teams, 2 at a time working across an extended square scoring points for goals and also defensive stops earning points. Lots of short sharp kicks here and overlap running. Play is non stop. McKercher looking really nice as you could imagine in this.
Corr the only one off to the side, but has a wrist/hand brace on doing some running with a couple of staff. Duurs, Chom and Arch wearing the pink hat.
Yeah, although a few usual suspects missing like Jy and Stephen’s not in the same pack
Top handful were Tucker, Logue, Sheez and a fella I'm not too sure who it is.
Goater finished a fair bit behind the rest of the pack. Goad came steaming home really hard, as did Darling who knocked off a few younger boys, caught me off guard a little lol.
Doesn’t look like Jy is in training today
Parker, Chom, Lmac, Kerch, Hardeman and I think it’s Steven’s who are doing some separate running, while Daniel and Stephen’s also off the side in their own small running duo
I like Eddie, really hoping he can cement a spot. I'll never forget his comedy of about 5 or 6 fumbles that lead to the PC goal late against the eagles in Perth this year, good viewing.
I'd be making him a VC next year with a plan to take over in 2026 as sole captain. I think he is ready for it, he talks about the path foward and the process and it's clear his vision is aligned with Clarko in this respect.
If he said this offseason, he is ready for it, then I'd be giving it...
WINS: 6
B&F: Sheezel
DOES LDU STAY: Yes
ALL AUST: Xerri in final team, Sheezel & Larkey to make the 40 man squad
DOES FOS PLACE IN RISING STAR: Top 3
TOP 3 LEADING GOAL KICKERS: Larkey (50-60) Darling (30-40) & PC (25-35)
DOES CHOM PLAY FWD/BACK: Back, but swings foward from time to time...
Pretty chuffed with this to be honest all things considered. I love going to the G and to get 3 games is a good result. Nice fixtures against the Dons and Pies in primetime should be grouse if we are playing good footy.
Only gripe is the absolute COWARDICE of not giving us the Power at home...
Wouldn't be upset at all seeing something like this
B - Archer - Comben - Corr
HB - Goater - Logue - Daniel
C - McKercher - LDU - Scott
HF - Parker - Darling - Zurhaar
FF - Curtis - Larkey - Duursma
R - Xerri - Wardlaw - Sheezel
IC - Powell - Simpkin - Teakle - Ford
S - Konstanty
EMG -...
