Couldn't be happier.
Almost feels sweeter that they got knocked out in the prelim.
What a bunch of campaigners. A larger group of d*ickheads in the one team I've never come across
The only thing that even marginally excites me about this is that no one expects this bloke to have anything left in the tank, and therefore there are absolutely bottom of the barrel expectations. Under promise, over deliver and all of that.
Anything he does will be a bonus.
(But yes, the same...
This bloke has been kissed on the d*ck his whole professional life.
The people that back him up because he 'cracks in' need to give it a rest. How much lower of a bar can you get?! You try hard so you don't get to be criticized when you make mistake after mistake. What other profession in the...
If Simpkin needs to be around until 2029 than that's where he needs to be.
Less chance to turn it over in dangerous positions + less chance for concussions
Too much dead wood. Too many one dimensional players. So much potential in this team but the bottom 6-7 players just hurt us so often. Must be very disheartening for the blokes that are clearly a level above.
Who we clear out in the offseason will be just as important / if not more important...
Season over for the scum. At least they've got plenty of first round draft picks to utilise....
Have gone all in for the now and will be in our position within a couple of years. And will be there for a while. Good
It's always 'next year'. Every year around this time (or earlier) it's time to start thinking about how our list will look next year. Ins and outs and everything else. I actually want to enjoy this year for once
It's one thing for the supporter base to be told to be patient on a regular basis (for years on end), but if the playing group don't have as much patience it will be a continuing cycle of the more experience players going elsewhere because they get to enjoy a win every 20 or so games.
Get...
When it's all said and done who honestly thinks that he would be given a game in any other team in the comp? Apart from the other absolute basket case which is West Coast. Have a proper think about it before you completely disregard that comment.
He is such a limited footballer. So one...
Might be able to stick him on a wing considering his tank. Especially if there are any plans to play Bailey in the back half.
Might have more time to get his kicks away with more space, hopefully leading to more accuracy than what we've seen from him lately.
Obviously hoping the end result is positive for us... But if he does get the boot from us there's only one club with zero morals who would pick him up. Might also have a good mate there who could have a spare MG or two up his sleeve
Not just because of his height, but very similar profile and skillset as Caleb Daniel. Wonder if he can play a similar role in the back 1/3 of the ground. Just a thought
It's probably already been said, but just the fact that he's not running around on the postage stamp that is the SCG every second week can only be a positive for his primary attributes
Even though he started full training in August, another 3 months to put into the knee rehab probably isn't the worst thing.
The elbow dislocation must have been pretty severe to have surgery, but can't imagine it will have any effect on long term performance.
Hopefully won't make him gun-shy...
