Coach Alastair Clarkson - NMFC Senior Coach - Coaching & Football Discussion

Lol did you turn up to every game before the bye? I was convinced we weren't good enough to win a game. We've then beat WCE in Perth. Played some scintilating football against the Pies (last years premiers). Played a really competetive (physical) game against Melbourne and should have won...

Coach Alastair Clarkson - NMFC Senior Coach - Coaching & Football Discussion

I'm confident in Clarko. The time after the bye has been brilliant and a joy to go every week. Although today was bad it was pretty obivous when we were carrying 6-8 players who wouldn't get a game for another club against a team who had to win who are arguably good enough to win the flag. Not...

Lol Fisher? I'd give Scott a vote that would be about it.

    Player Watch #15: Dylan Stephens

The most embarassing player I've ever seen play for North Melbourne and continually get games.
  6. R

    Bye bye Rawling

Let's be honest mate, Howe stinks of being a Clarkson decision. There's no way Rawlings made that call. Stephens is the worst player I've seen represent us, I honestly can't beleive how disgusting he is to watch. Has no game sense at all. Fisher isn't a defenders arseh*le but I blame that on...

Player Watch #46: Robert Hansen Jnr - Extends to End 2025

I watch him hoping he will show something but it's hard to see it. He's not quick. He's not physical. Doesn't really look like a natural footballer either. He's not really that good a kick. I don't mind giving him another 12 months & agree people are over emotional at times. I never wanted...

Preview Changes v *, Sunday 1:10pm (* home game, replacement game for NMFC members)

We need to try something completely different. Nothing is working for us so I propose the following: F: Wardlaw .... Larkery ...... Fisher HF: Curtis ...... Comben ...... Simpkin M: Scott ........ Xerri ......... Ford LDU Zuharr...

Player Watch #16: Zac Fisher - 36d & 6 marks vs WCE - his best game for NMFC?

Try him fwd. He can't defend and to be honest, he doesn't look like a natural kicking type. Everyting looks forced.

Player Watch #30: Charlie Comben - defender or forward? CC T5 in the AFL for avg.intercept marks p/game - re-signed until end of 2027

I ****ing love Comben. I loved him today as a CHF (& last year) and I loved him as a CHB. We need another one. He is willing to get hurt for the team consistently. We looked so much better up fwd once he was able to halve contests - especially with how bad our kicking and decision making is...

Past #28: Bigoa Nyuon - delisted end '24 after 3 NM games - thanks Biggie

Some average efforts today which was disappointing but theres some athletic attributes that might be worth sticking with. Clearly he is learning.

Player Watch #29: Will Phillips - tags N.Daicos vs Collingwood - subbed off at 3/4 time??

First game back at the seniors, I'd give him a pass. If we are willing to persist with hopeless campaigners in the seniors we need to give him a big block of games. He played some good football last year at AFL level and we need to find out by the end of the year if he is going to help take us forward...

Player Watch #7: Zane Duursma - out for 2024, undergoing shoulder surgery

Not fit enough yet but he's shown some definate aerial talent and flash. I think we could probably play him accross half back rather then half forward and hide him a bit more in the side. I'd rather play that c*nnt Stephenson as a fwd as at least he works up the ground.

Give him another game. We've given D Stephens 6 games and he embarrasses himself every week. Hard to judge Sellars on today.

Player Watch #16: Zac Fisher - 36d & 6 marks vs WCE - his best game for NMFC?

Should we play him fwd? We are desperate for a small fwd who can run and chase.... he looks pathetic as a defender

Coach Alastair Clarkson - NMFC Senior Coach - Coaching & Football Discussion

Disgraceful selection by the coaches and disgraceful gameplan on a ground with no wings. Deserves a whack. **** you Clarkson, lift you little ****ing dog.

Autopsy Gather round my fat hairy ass

Players were shithouse but what about the coaching staff. On a game with no wings, we went in with two genuine wingers in Stephens and Tucker who are completely out of form. W Phillips good consistent performer last year averaging about 21 and mostly 1st possession would have been handy today...
  26. R

    Player Watch #15: Dylan Stephens

Promising pre-season but why are we playing players out of form. Let him get some confidence in the two's for christ sake. Clarkson picking two genuine wingers again today out of form on a ground with no wings, ****ing shit campaigner coach.

Preview Changes v Carlton [Good Friday Superclash]

Very Jurgen Klopp kind of coaching move by Clarkson. I thought we had enough evidence to make some changes but he's going to stick loyal, particularly with Tucker/Stephens who were disappointing. I kind of get it, hopefully he is right and they reward him.
