It's just a bit of shit talk and banter. Our only competent full back is Oscar Allen but Edwards continually surprises and he should be more than fine playing that role for 2025. And Bailey Williams will finish in the top 5 of our B&F playing in the ruck. As to what our next premiership side...
Was just an idea born out of an Oscar to fullback fantasy. I insist Harry is the second tallest on our list behind Flynn, and he did play his junior football and a midfielder and is a massive unit who should be able to wrestle with the bigger rucks. No idea if he can jump or tap, just think it's...
I don't recall him ever playing an actual game there? I thought we briefly flirted with it 2-3 preseasons ago but he got injured and by the time he was back Williams had been put in there and we never looked back. Anyway just a random idea, I'm a Baz Williams #1 ruck for lyfe supporter.
I think he said he see's himself as a forward and has played most of his footy there, but that the best he has played was probably a stint he did playing back. Did say he's happy to play anywhere. He's also played as a mid so how about we get him to lose some weight and stick him on a defensive...
The "spiritual leader" is a role in AFL football invented to describe Ben Cousins after they took the captaincy off of him in 2006 and gave it to Judd to satisfy big corporation. We still went on the win the Premiership and Woosh called Ben up to accept the cup alongside him and Judd because...
Correct. 8 min 50s. Talking about Oscar just before that. Need one of those body language experts to do a break down. Non committal, touches face, looks up and to the left.. what does it all mean?? Personally I don't think he sounded too keen.
This is the face he makes when asked if we'll be...
Waterman is the spiritual leader now surely, in many ways kind of the only option other than Duggan because Oscar is not more likely to be on the field than Yeo or Gov. Ironically by the end of preseason Liam Baker probably could make a strong case for himself. Haha imagine the melts.
Richmond let go arguably their best player for the previous decade in Brett Delediio a year before their first premiership [17] and the Bulldogs let go their captain Ryan Griffen end of '14 and went all the way 2 years later. It happens. Also Oscar has only been in the role for 1 year, is a...
Has Mini done a presser at the club since he was appointed, I can only see the one on their YouTube channel from his first week that he did with Pyke and the big cheese. Don't think she was on deck for that one must of just been another cringe journo.
Sounds like a Cadet journo who maybe isn't on the AFL detail covering for someone on holidays. Didn't mind it, was amusing at least. Probably don't hear from her again.
Virtually every player we are discussing being delisted we should be backing to improve and earn another contract outside of 3 players. On the balance of probabilities Warner stays in Sydney, Allen re-signs. Cripps and Sheed retire. We replace them with our first round pick, Rodreigez, and by...
I'm for drafting 3 and trading in 1. 4 changes to list. Maybe or maybe not losing 1 out to a trade. Draft 3 main list, no rookies. Bring in Warner IF someone goes out, potentially Allen to get us back the first rounders we'll spend on Warner. Draft 4 if no Warner but someone leaves. Anything...
Look I agree and a few of those mentions of Long being on the chopping block came from me. I don't think he should be anywhere close to it but the reality of wanting to turn over another 6-8 players next season to bring in trade targets and take a full complement of draftee's is that pressure...
This thread is an interesting read. Started so positively and promisingly, and nothing has really changed but the kid is now the boards # Loch [pun intended] to be delisted at the end of 2025 in order to make way for some dubious NGA selections in the back end of the draft.
Made an early debut...
Look I'm open to Rawlinson being a bust, the point I was making was more that we've seen **** all of him and as a general point it gets kind of ridiculous having people lobbying to delist players who've been at the club for 12 months in order to take a chance with some other deeply speculative...
Just to pick up on another point, ok let's say that Rawlinson is at the top of the delist pile. How does delisting a rookie actually help us take 6+ players onto the main list like these guys are asking for?
We're up to 2 Warners coming in, plus 5 draftee's. Presumably Ryan Maric isn't going...
I know that's how people see him, kinda odd though. To me they are nothing alike [except the bit about not being able to kick over a jam tin].
"Zac Langdon was drafted as a mature-age small forward out of the WAFL, playing for Claremont. He has huge endurance and showed enormous determination...
Phil you are probably the main reason I bother reading any of these trade/draft threads so I'll accept you coming in here and give all these haters the ammo they need to put a line through Rawlinson. I still think that speed plus endurance is worth something and that none of the players named...
Sorry, it's insufficient to say well we've got all these players are forwards so we don't need Rawlinson. None of them bar champion are actually proper small forwards, and Rawlinson is quicker than Champion. Saying Walley is s far better talent than Rawlinson based on one being projected as a...
Its fine to criticise these players but lets not kid ourselves, we are talking about replacing them with complete unknown quantities from the back end of the draft. These are players who have all played AFL football, are all ready to play more AFL football and who have all likely been held back...
The issue with dumping him for Walley is that Cripps retires this year. Champion isn't going to be ready in 2026 for the rigours of playing 23 afl games. Nor will Wes Walley be that as a first year player.
Loch Rawlinson will be in his 3rd year. Just don't see why you'd dump a 21 year old...
