I'm not back from Canada till round 4 so the first game of the year that I'll get to watch is us at Kardinia Park *sigh*.
At least the Friday night games are on cable here so I get some footy. I've had enough hockey to last a lifetime. It's a good game but it's just not the same thing.
Re: Stadium deals - what, how, when - why we need a new one and the SA footy paradigm shift happenin
Any news over the summer? I have moved overseas and have limited internet access so I don't know what has been going on.
Like others, I am very grateful to REH for his efforts on this and...
I had a McFeast Value Meal at Maccas tonight. Gourmet that I am.
I will really get the culinary skillz out tomorrow though and have weetbix for breakfast!
Pretty good thread though I could never afford the fancy nosh described herein.
If he's the weakest link in their defence, he'll do fine in our defence. I thought he was outstanding early today.
Not that we'd be lucky enough to trade with Geelong, but geeze, they got a stronger hand then we have.
119? Yes, that is quite embarrassing :o
Two years is not a long time compared to the thirty years that Richmond has displayed. We'll be back, sooner then you think.
Well I do like to see my team's playing list not clog up the cause list, to be brutally honest. A few beers on Mad Monday is neither here nor there to me, although I could live without the dildos, save that for Carlton.
If you fancy a laugh, listen to 5DN for half an hour. The music is from the 50's and every third ad is from a funeral home. (Or at least, it was last year when I was forced to listen to it at work.)
Some of my favourite people don't like football, including my wife, but I must admit I'll never understand people who don't like football.
Here in Adelaide it is ABC vs 5AA and MMM, so it really is no contest. I have no idea about the ratings but ABC is tops for me.

Okay, I appreciate that he's willing to work with the club to get us something for him. Is there a web-page somewhere that has the rules for out of contract players and what clubs can and can't do in that situation?
Article also notes that Danyle Pearce is not sure if he wants...
Always good to see Captain Haddock get an airing in a football forum. Not too many occasions go by that he can't make a contribution.
I am so looking forward to Monday's paper and if they don't have a Crows poster, I might make a call to the Advertiser and ask why.
It's pretty hard to slag...
My player rules for 2010.
1. I don't care what you get up to off the field as long as you play winning and aggressive 'Port Adelaide' football on the field. If drinking till you puke at 4am helps you do that, then party on.
Re: Stadium deals - what, how, when - why we need a new one and the SA footy paradigm shift happenin
One of my few real pleasures this year has been reading REH's very thoughtful contributions on this thread, but reading his latest essay was, to be honest, an exercise in total frustration...
Let's imagine West Coast finish second and Hawks finish third- play a qualifying final in Perth. And let's imagine Freo finish sixth and play an elim final in Perth.
Hawthorn lose their qualifying final. Freo win their elim final. You would then have a situation where Hawthorn are playing a...
Both of the SA teams are suffering from the fact that their home games are broadcast either live or only on half hour delay as well. Andy D says that this isn't an issue, but I take that with a grain of salt.
And a lot of Port fans are disillusioned with things at Alberton, which hasn't...
Yeah I remember this, given the nature of the heatwaves we have with temps reaching the mid 40s it is up to the AFL (and the clubs) to show a bit of extra care.
