Re: New Captain
Although Rabee is a great player, the three years he played at Keilor he never got close to Fraser in the club B & F which says something.
There may be players equal to Fraser but I would say no one is better
I wouldn't say Strathmore ran ALL OVER Greenvale - the game was a draw and from memory Greenvale came back in the last quarter from about 5 goals down - It still hurts that I had to barrack for Greenvale that day
Does anyone give Keilor a chance this week?
I'm tipping Keilor in an upset. All this talk of Strathmore being the greatest team to ever grace an EDFL ground must be giving them a false sense of themselves. they might have 30 good players compared to the other good teams 22, but only 22 can play.
Essendon to have 2 wins before Anzac day and then 3 at about 5:00pm. They will surprise Sydney in round one and beat the bulldogs as they have the wood over them. Won't get near brisbane and may as well save money on the flights up to Brisbane as Brisbane could field an under 18 team and still...
What you heard back in 97 and in 2000 was nearly proved to be correct. they won the flag in 98 and were terrible in 99, had another crack in 2000 and were useless in 2001 and then missed out on getting relagated in 2002 by 10 points when they beat Keilor at home in the last round.
Patto is definitely playing at Keilor but is out with slight injury at the moment - he reckons he could play but doesnt want to risk it this early in the year.
Oak Park played some decent footy and will be a little better than most people think. Keilor had a couple guys out but not a great deal - they looked sluggish but had a fair few guys having their first hit out so I woudn't read too much into it.
Morrison not only played in a winning GF team last year but was an important member of that team. He was one of the best on ground in the Prelim against Keilor and there is no way he will play seconds at Strathmore.
Who is next on your list to bag?
Strathmore to go underfeated and Greenvale a certainty for finals with 3rd and 4th up for grabs.
Doutas are super confident.
I hear Keilor are quietly looking fairly strong. They have lost a couple blokes but have picked up a couple from the SANFL, Troy Patterson will play more than 5 games...
