I have a question, one that puzzles me, why hasn't Nick Del Santo fronted the media and protested about his reputation being impugned in the same way Nick Riewoldt has?
Does he have thicker skin? or doesn't he give a toss?
You answered your own question, he allowed it do be taken in the first instance - but then, he, with hindsight, stupidly entrusted and believed his team mate would destroy/delete the photo, and instead it gets plastered all over cyberspace. Go figure, hey?
Nick (#1) Riewoldt has obviously voiced his displeasure about the release of the photos, claiming he wasn't posing for the photo..that is a (very) debatable point, however still in the context of his statement that he wasn't posing with the intention of having the photo being a permanent record...
Kerry Packer once famously said of Alan Bond when the latter massively paid over the odds for acquiring Ch 9 and then resold the network back to Packer for a pittance - “You only get one Alan Bond in your lifetime. And I've had mine.”
I think a few NRL player agents are saying to themselves...
Re: Your Brownlow Bets?
Small investment  this year $10 on Luke Power to place @ 500-1 and $10 on Luke Power to Brisbane's leading vote getter @ 33-1. Bye bye $20
King should never ever play again, and if we weren't short of ruck stocks I'd almost say Simmonds could join him - owned by Minson in the last! Tambling should saty in the Magoos for weeks.
Didn't mean for it to come across as a complaint, yes my current score is good - just that I've been in similar positions in the past and it has very rarely translated into a decent score. For whatever reason the DT gods haven't treated me well in the past. That said 4 of the players (Cox...

with the following to come:
CCornes
Nicoski
Winderlich
Cox (c)
Skipworth
Higgins
It could all go very well or very pear-shaped......I suspect it will be the latter:o
Aside from the ones mentioned already I find this site invaluable for quirky facts. The diary section is updated daily during the season. Some of the rolling team win/loss data is useful for those who like to bet on the footy.

I note with interest that two days ago our odds of winning the flag were $26. On the back of the rumours of Cousins coming to the Tigers we are now at $21.
I don't believe the shortening of odds was based on money being plonked on us to win, but more an assessment that our chances improve...
Re: cuzzy homeless !!
Well according to Caroline Wilson's article 2 days ago, the issue of the funeral did impact on the Saints' decision.

Last Thursday, the club...
I reckon we should have some humility. It's obvious they weren't the best side all year, but they were quite clearly the best side on the day - and in the that's all that counts.
Instead of bagging them we should be trying to learn something so we can put to rest close to 3 decades of mediocrity.
Well when you add the WAGs (wives and girlfriends) you fill a table pretty quickly. Given the small Melbourne player representation guess they have more menage a trois than the other clubs.
From the Hun site, somewhat earlier than usual
NORTH MELBOURNE
B: Daniel Pratt, Lachlan Hansen, Leigh Harding
HB: Michael Firrito, Josh Gibson, Gavin Urquhart
C: Daniel Wells, Adam Simpson, Scott McMahon
HF: Lindsay Thomas, Corey Jones, Sam Power
F: Brent Harvey, David Hale, Matt Campbell...
I think you've almost answered the question - all the players mentioned play for clubs that have been long time top 8 clubs. Whether rightly or wrongly, probably subliminally, I believe the umps tend to favour teams with a winning record.
3. Deledio
2. Moore
1. Tuck
I thought Newman turned it over too many times, which resulted in goals, so didn't include him.
Jackson had a shocker and I thought Pattison had one of his worst games.
If we beat Adelaide we might go close to setting a record (at least for us anyway) - namely beating Adelaide, Port Adelaide, West Coast and Fremantle interstate in the one season.
I'd imagine there wouldn't many teams that have even played those 4 sides interstate in the one season.
I have many injury worries but at least three season ending injured players (C Cornes, B Jones and Salopek) that need replacing with the my last three trades. I've had cushy run (been winning with 2 zeros for the past few weeks) and haven't need to trade as I'm concentrating on my league -...
Re: Adam Goodes offered a reprimand
It's a little known fact that the ACT technically includes Jervis Bay on the "NSW" Coast.
Ideally, this map should have two circles representing the ACT, one around Canberra and one around Jervis Bay.
I know this may be harsh, perhaps it displays my bias coming through, but I can't help but feel that since the inclusion of Bowden and Pettifer back in the side we've lost a lot of intensity.
