well as a non carlton supporter I can tell you what you will get with Kennedy. You will know he is on your side when you are playing in a final and the scores are close. One of the best 20 year olds you would want in the trenches.
Re: Message for all Coasters Fans
I think you will find Carlton will make it a win - win for both clubs. I doubt they would try and burn West Coast as from all reports they have a good relationship going. It helps to try and keep good relationships as what goes around, come around.
Josh...
I think some of you are seriously under estimating the potential of this Josh Kennedy. I would predict that in two years time he will do what Hamish Macintosh has done and really come on.
For Eagles it would give them a tall, strong and hardworking forward who comes from W.A. plus the chance...
I have played against BT and Bentleigh and I have no doubt the problem with this fight was because of Bentleigh. The BT players are hard at the ball but I wouldn't say they are hard at the man.
Knowing the two sides I reckon the BT players would have walked away upset that they never got to...
watched him live yesterday for the first time. I was very impressed with him. He is very footy smart. He knows where to run, has great vision, terrific kick. He looks like one of those players that more often then not does the right thing.
He burns the ball alot. Isn't quick (gets caught with the ball often).
He isn't tall. At his height the AFL recruiters want explosive leg speed, evasiveness and top notch foot skills - has neither of these three.
I am not saying he isn't a good player, just that he is not for AFL.
The first part is spot on. If you want Gibbs to have a 12 year plus career then Pagan is doing the right thing. He is protecting him and so he should.
His time will come for playing on the ball.
Some of you are expecting too much from your young players.
That would be great for BT if they stay.
I know alot of blokes from my time who left their clubs for money and every single one of them regretted it. Not one of them has a dollar to show for it but the real regret comes from when they hear of their old mates playing 300 games for the club...
What you didn’t know: Batsanis is Peter Daicos’s nephew. His mum is Peter’s sister.
This is absolute bulldust. If Peter Daicos bumped into Batsanis he wouldn't know who he was. The only connection between the two is their fathers are from the same town in Macedonia.
Look, Batsanis is a...
he is nowhere near pick 25 to 40.
If Brisbane are keen as reported I hope it is for a very late pick.
He was probably worth waiting on carlton's guarantee. He is not talented enough to be taken as a 17 year old. This could backfire on him.
Given the right deal I wouldn't mind one of them at Brisbane next year. We have lost alot of players with some size about them over the last two years especially down back.
Re: Nathan Batsanis
Actually I wouldn't say he was a great kick. It is a nice looking kick with plenty of style but he nearly 100% of the time just blazes away and rarely kicks to advantage which is the way you need to kick in AFL.
To put him alongside Gibbs is just plain silly. If he had...
I think Thornton is a very good player and I would love to get him at Brisbane.
Which player would you trade for from Brisbane. Serious replies only please.
hey westy ... is there any chance of a video being released to the public ... everyone I know is talking about your win but it is too hard to fathom.
You could probably call footy quits after that win.
Does anyone have a football from the game like captain or best on ground ... put it on...
The goal given at the start of the third quarter definitely went on the scoreboard. I remember looking up a the scoreboard and thinking the player that gave that free kick away has just given his team mates a kick in the guts. I thought BT were gone and buried then judging by the body...
It's only a hip and shoulder when the person getting bumped receives it on the hip and shoulder.
You cannot call a hit to the head a fair hip and shoulder.
Holland did the crime ... he does the time.
Don't worry chop I know him very very well ... he played on the wing and a bit on the ball in the grand final ... never saw him get into defensive 50 ... when he was on the wing Ivanhoe coach told his players to use that side because he doesn't work hard enough ... when he got the ball he held...
Lloyd Toffolon ... hmm ... let's see ... struggles to run and cannot cover alot of area, slow and gets caught alot ... can't kick to position or moving targets ... holds onto the ball too long and doesn't share the ball ... doesn't create opportunities for team mates ... won't chase opposition...
