Ruby Schleicher is a genius, just after Melbourne scored to reach 2.2.14, she mentioned that Melbourne are averaging 25ppg and that they are "already almost halfway there".
Nice to see Gatt back, Shannon is an interesting selection.
I'd like to know what some of the younger players need to do to get a game, Bogue has been an emergency for three or four weeks and I don't think Kavanagh, Slocombe or Savarirayan have had a look in.
Oh well! I thought the Braves did well just to make the post season, they never really got out of first gear after a strong opening month, losing Acuna early started the rot but other batters like Harris III, Albie, Riley and Murphy missing chunks of the season meant there was no real...

It's interesting that you bring up the 70's because for a majority of the decade we had pinstripes, and a majority of those on the board hate pinstripes, possibly because the last time wore them (2020/21) the pin stripe was way too thick.
Anyway from 1959 to 1972 we had pinstripes, and they...
I'll give Puma credit for the jersey, the traditional striped jersey was a stunner, especially the Royal Blue, it was very vibrant to really stood out.
Great news.
From Bloods to Shinboners, he'll know something about building a successful culture, I hope our youngsters listen and learn, and then take it a step further in Grand Finals. ;)
GO THE BRAVES! :D
Sorry, had to take a shot after the last couple of days, not that it is doing us any good, we are getting slaughtered by the Padres early in game 1. :(
Anyone, even Target has to be better than Puma, I didn't buy any of their gear outside of a home jersey and a Bounding Roo jersey, their off-field garb was worse than shit.
I still walk around Canberra in a Canterbury Hoodie from about 5/6 years ago.
The Geelong/Brisbane Prelim was the best game I saw this year.
The most exciting was North Melbourne/Collingwood because the first half was the best football we've played in five seasons.
We don't have a genuine replacement for Kearney.
Wright and O'Shea are probably the most obvious replacements as they are already playing in defense, reads the play and provides a contest, and they have the speed to provide some run, but they aren't the cleanest distributors.
Bruton has been...
Probably ends her chance of reaching 100 games as well, she is currently on 80 and with 5 games plus 3 finals would have finished the season on 88, and with next season increasing to 12 games she was a very good chance, now she would need to play on beyond 2025.
Is Bruton a little too short (she is 9cms shorter than Kearney) to play a defensive role? She also needs to lock down an opponent.
Maybe we bring in Shannon and switch Wright to the "Kearney" role but I'm not sure she has a penetrating kick like Kearney.
Six weeks means she won't return until the second week of finals. Hopefully we can maintain our position on top on the table and then win first week of the finals, and then she should be cherry ripe for the Prelim.

Over the last few years, we’ve been revelling in the Jasmine Garner-led North Melbourne midfield. And whilst she’s proving to have another fine year, it’s just about safe...
