A big problem is that people don't actually know their schedule, they book tickets on the chance that they might go, and when things come up there is no mechanism to give the tickets back.
In the same message a friend of mine said she preferred the reserved system and simultaneously asked if I...
I have no doubt that there's a place for reserved seats, but to go from one extreme to the other is well beyond the committee's role with no member consultation.
Fortunately the MCC is a club, and you only need 150 signatures from Full Members to call a Special General Meeting. That will get things out in the open very quickly.
As the heading states we are starting a campaign for the MCC to return walk-up seating to all games:

We are finding that most members don't even know that the system is not going away as we emerge from Covid restrictions and it's the club's...

I just wrote an email as a formal complaint about this. I urge everyone to do the same.
I'm wondering if it's worth starting some sort of online petition?
As I posted earlier I was at the game and the original 50 that Perkins gave away was right in front of me, Devon ran the 50 with the umpire and gave him a gobful the whole way, I knew the second 50 would be coming.
Pretty sure he did, and that was the game that they were sooking it up about Bellchambers not getting a farewell?
The commentary around that gave me the royal shits as getting a game in to Draper vs Gawn was much more important.
Could be horseshit, I’ve got 2 small kids and a fried brain...
I booed until the umpires left the ground, and then so did I.
I'm glad everyone else continued to boo as it hopefully shows the AFL that they paying public are fed up with the umpiring.
It's unfortunate that Pendles was a bit of collateral damage as I completely respect him as a champion...
Caught the last quarter of this on Fox as well. I was at that game, if only I knew at the time it was going to be the start of a premiership run. If I remember correctly we had a pretty average run coming in to this game but it was then that we started to believe.
Prelim that year was also one...
My mate rang me at midday on 06 GF day asking if we should go. We got seats in the second back row. Bit different this year.

4:45 has been a sweet spot in previous years as it's 15 mins before the first trains, but due to the Richmond effect I'll get there at 4.
This is hopefully to get a prime level 3 seat. If you want a reasonable seat but aren't picky I reckon 6 would be OK.
That was right in front of me. I developed a man-crush then and there, was borderline hysterical when he joined EFC and have been thrilled with every facet of his time at the club.
