Hi all,
Im heading over with my family to watch the anzac day game this year and have been able to secure a few tickets already but need 2 more. I was just wondering if any other magpie members who aren't attending the game could give me their membership card barcode so that I can purchase these...
I didn't say that Collingwood need him because we have two very capable key forwards already, wheras the Saints have only one. Plus we have another 3-4 years left with this group and the Saints potentially only have one.
I was just saying that maybe the Saints could take a punt on him and see...
Big Call, I know. Unrealistic Call? Probably. But when you think about it Fev is what the Saints are missing- A key forward who can turn games on its head. Picking up Fev will allow Riewoldt to play his natural game and run defenders ragged up and down the ground. Their midfield is still one of...
IN: Goldsack
OUT: Davis
The only reason Leon will stay in the team is because he can kick important goals at important times, as he showed yesterday. But didnt do enough to earn selection for mine. So in comes the versatile Goldsack who should be used as a defensive forward to stop S.Fisher's...
Before the Geelong vs Collingwood game in Round 9 everyone was saying its going to be a Cats- Pies GF, St.Kilda were heading over to play west coast as underdogs and now, three weeks later, its a certain Cats-Saints GF. I dont really get it how people change their tune so easily.
Judd - The best player in the comp right now and has for a number of years. Brownlow Medal. 1 Premiership. Captain.
Voss - captained a team to three premierships and played some quality footy.
Buckley- Champion. Brownlow medallist. Norm Smith and numerous B & Fs in the past decade. Captain...
Collingwood will be big players in trade week this year. Malthouse wants to strengthen the side with players like Fev and Jolly to have one last tilt at the flag over the next two years.
Buckley will be involved but in the end its Malthouse and McGuire choice to take Fev on board next season...
Adelaide: Tippett- Big, young forward with years ahead of him.
Brisbane: Brown- Big forward that has leadership and courage
Carlton: Judd- still the best in the comp.
Essendon: Hurley- versatile with plenty of years of footy to come
Fremantle: Sandilands- dominates the hit outs
Geelong: Ablett-...
I think our young team will continue to improve and we will be top 4 again. Come finals we would have a chance of making the granny, but I think 2011 will be our year.
The premiership window is sliding open for us and we need to be active in trade week to strengthen our team up ready for a...
Bit harsh to say Fraser was a passenger when he didnt even play.
I thought Thomas was one of our better players.
O'Brien was probably our best and O'Bree had 26 touches and contributed enough.
That team of hacks beat your mob by 54 points.;)
Again I thought Thomas and O'Bree were far from...
When I was younger I wrote a letter to Richmond and Essendon and told them to get their players to drink beer all the time and not train because I wanted Collingwood to win the Premiership.
It was in 2002 and it worked. I think Richmond didnt make the finals and we made the granny...
The OP has taken a risk and said that the Pies are certainties to win. If hes right we will think he knows his footy but if he doesnt than I dont think he will care much:thumbsu:
Anyway I have a hunch that we will get up and win with our backs to the wall:thumbsu:
Pies by 17...
I think that someone needs to make way for Shirley. I think mackay will. Well if not him than who else?
I dont think that Doughty will get dropped. I never said that.
Midfield got beaten by a more hardened and experienced midfield in the saints.
But the worrying thing is Davis and Didak at times avoided body contact altogether.
Pendlebury is a massive loss.
Swan and Thomas played respectable games.
Should jump back on the horse against the crows. Our...
There will definitely be pressure on the pies this week in not going out in straight sets.
But there will be MORE pressure on the dogs because they are expected to smash the lions. Where as the Pies and the Crows game is a 50/50.
Everyone is just assuming the doggies will beat the lions on Friday night but the one thing is the Dogs will be under a lot more pressure to win than the Lions.
Brisbane have won a final and would be very pleased with that after exceeding everyones expectations of them at the seasons start...
The big positive is we played shit and only lost by 28 points.
In fairness the saints should of won by 10 goals.
But we cant play any worse than that. Didak and Davis looked scared and hardly got the thing. Anthony kicked the ball 3 times for a goal and apart from the last 5 minutes McCarthy...
It will be interesting at the selection table this week
Im going
IN: Dick, Wood, Wellingham, N. Brown
OUT: McCarthy, Rocca, Pendlebury(inj.), L. Brown
OTHER POSSIBILITES
Sidebottom or Johnson out for Stanley
Reid or Dawes for Anthony(highly doubt)
Clarke, Goldsack and Barham...
