Who do you want in this years grand final?

Oppo Camp 2015 non-Geelong match and general football discussion

Luke Beveridge has done a terrific job so far with the Dogs. Hope they can get up today

Review AFL Round 4, Geelong defeats Richmonds by 9 points

I doubt it. It's when we fall over the line against bottom-feeders like GC (at home) and Richmond, people are wary of what decent, top 8 sides will do. Glad to get the win but we aren't playing good football. So its a slightly hollow feeling tbh

Neither team today is top 8 material.

Choking hard here. Its becoming a habit under Scott I must say

Game Day AFL Round 5 - Richmond vs Geelong, MCG, 1:45PM Saturday 2 May

Ha, yep. I'm guessing 1983 was poor season Richmond had to have - its a slippery slope.

We've given them a sniff here. Dammit

Game Day AFL Round 5 - Richmond vs Geelong, MCG, 1:45PM Saturday 2 May

They will play much better than last week's pitiful effort - they'll be aware we've had the wood on them for some time so I expect them to be much more committed today. Best chance to knock us off in the nearly 10 years.

Game Day AFL Round 5 - Richmond vs Geelong, MCG, 1:45PM Saturday 2 May

Last time we lost to the Tiges was 2006 - and a dark day that was! If we don't win today we're looking at finishing bottom 4

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

No it doesn't. People simply having a contrary opinion doesn't nullify the validity of my own. (in fact there's been a fairly even split in this thread for and against - the only 'overwhelming' consensus is Hawthorn supporters supporting their coach - hardly surprising) But you fragrantly...

Agree. On that note, I guess I'll see my way out. It's been real!

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

You are (of course) making your own suppositions based on the same incomplete evidence. Not only that but arguing that the action was one necessity which it was not (Clarkson has admitted that it was not - as he said he wished he had continued to walk away).
  17. Cheshire Cat

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

This thread has to do with whether Clarkson's action were justified or not. That's what I'm discussing.

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

Might ask you the same thing? Why don't you direct the same inquiry to some of your fellow supporters? It's an interesting topic for discussion - its been illuminating for me that so many people haven't the faintest idea (or regard) about the law, what constitutes self-defence. I've found it...

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

How so? Because I've stayed on topic and you're directing incoherent gibberish toward me?

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

And yet he didn't. The contrast between Judd and Clarkson's actions couldnt be greater
  21. Cheshire Cat

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

I find your inability to stay on topic mildly amusing.

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

I know, and claiming self-defence doesn't always make it so.

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

Please. If you can't recognise his/her comment is embarrassing, you've lost it. - But at least its honest, I guess. At least it's not masquerading as a voice of reason. Your interest is purely partisan. Mine is to do with Clarkson having a history of lashing out in anger, to which, based on the...

Whether Clarkson is a successful coach or not has nothing to do with this. Grow up

And I meant Clarkson. You're no better taking pot-shots behind a screen.
  27. Cheshire Cat

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

He should defend himself but that's not IMO what he did. Countless other actions were available to him - but Clarko's always favoured a blind-side hook

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

You mean like guys that king hit players and then castigate Matthew Lloyd for a hip and shoulder
  29. Cheshire Cat

Scandal Alastair Clarkson whacking port fan

Different circumstance to this and not relevant. The fans agenda was (or should have been) clear to Clarkson (get his attention, get a photograh with him, irritate him). Complete strangers approaching you or I whose agenda would be unclear is a different scenario.
