Can anyone tell me about the Swans up here? I've just moved to Yeppoon from Vic, and I'm looking for a club. Have coached around Vic Country for about 8 years but I've heard lots of different things about different clubs. Obviously answers will be biased depending on who replies!!
Re: Great western
Is there any chance they'll go further afield than the local area, or did Mooney a few years back frighten them off that idea for ever?
Mate you're dreamin! Walk up starts! The only one at Moyston worth a dime is VanderWaal on pure guts and toughness. The guys who left the Eagles couldn't be shagged doing the hard yards to resurrect the club. Money talks, that's just the way it is.

Thanks for the input Heals. I was there those couple of years to, and agree. It's always disappointing to be asked to apply for the job and be overlooked because it is the thing that will keep the most people on side.
So is he staying on next year or is it too early to say? It's been a fair drought between finals, is the club getting sick of meadiocre results given their list was reasonable a couple of years ago? Are there any good young blokes around or is the list getting too old? I assume there is still...
Can anyone tell me how things went at Great Western with the Great Saviour Sonny? Notice there's been no talk of a finals appearance, so was the punt worth while?
Me? I'm sure he stepped down so BELL could find a high quality (expensive) assistant to join the side. Trying to do the right thing by the club has back-fired. So much for BELL's wonderful ideas for the club!
Sorry to get back onto the Eagles boys, there's been enough about them already, but just spoke to BJ and found out his dramas. He's keen as mustard and said as soon as his missus is back on track things are right. Perhaps he will step up for the club again. Maybe the club should have stuck with...
Spoke to the Jake yesterday, he reckons he might not play that much more this year anyway. Has enjoyed it over there, but he's counting down the weeks to retirement. But we've all heard that before from the great man!:D
I think someone who posts a comment like this doesn't know Simon Farrer very well. He was happy to go back and help the young kids out at the club, and help the 2's with numbers. Obviously a player of his quality doesn't stay in the 2's very long. Perhaps a new business and a couple of kids...
Good to see the Roo boys up and flying. Was there a couple of years ago and they were middle of the road, have they recruited well or has the rest of the league fallen away?
Hurley is a quality footballer who can probably win a game off his own boot, but it seems to always be the way that his team mates expect it and leave it up to him. 2 forwards this year that can probably kick 60-80 goals each, Tim Shalders is super consistent, Luke Cadzow has the ability to...
Hey Brett, just wondering how much involvement you have with the Eagles. Wanna know how you've found our ex-warrior BJ and is there any news on his knee? Do you think he'll hang around for a while. We hear he's pretty happy there, will he help with the future of the club?
