I got mine on Monday. The kids Crows Nest membership came Friday.
Interestingly I inquired about upgrading my6yo son so he could come to every game (ie Silver membership). The Club said no worries, as long as I have a general admission ticket as the seat next to me (which I have). Much better...
I think this is spot on. Offers an insight into why there is always people complaining about ticket prices and why the crowds (for both the Power and Crows games) are not as good as the could be. Get passionate about the game and and your team, not just your team.

Wonder what impact this may have on JB's contract negotiations...It would sure open it up a little. Give Browny less of a reason to stay as I believe him and Leigh worked well together.
Re: Bass outlets
FYI - got plum tickets on bass.net.au at 9.05am this morning - in Bay 130.
Some prep work I usually do (after years of nearly putting my fist through the computer screen due to BASS web site);
1. log in to bass before 9am make sure it works (if it doesn't your order page is...
Personally, I can't wait for the Geelong game as it should eventuate.
I'm no coach, but you'd think with this kind of game Craigy will pump up the Boys to take a carefree, no holds barred approach. From here, anything could happen.
Also, I don't think Geelong would have been expecting to play...
It would be a great spectacle. Friday or saturday night footy would be great addition to the calendar. I am close enough to hear the roar of the crowd when Glenelg play, (and am part of the crowd when I get the chance).
Should have been done a while ago.
Congratulations to Kane, Lucy and Little Eddy on the birth of Raphael.
Also to Chad, Grandma Pam, Grandpa Graham and step grandma Nicole.
Hope all is well.
Just noticed our roads are only getting $32million.
Its about time this issue got put to bed. Hopefully this might just do it. I think some people have this romantic notion of having a cbd stadium that you could walk to the game after work... Just like Melbourne! Who cares what...
I thought the appointment of Craigy was a great move. His mental toughness and preparation are second to none. He lacks the 'feel' on game day every so often by not trying something different, but with those aforementioned attributes we wouldn't have won as many games with another coach...
One call that has not yet been mentioned (not in this thread anyway), is the call given by the umpire for deliberate OOB on Freddy's 50min kick out of defence!
Now I can put up with the calls already said, but that one was abysmal.
Nah seriously...
We had some terriblely negative supporters when we sat on the outer wing a couple of years back. Real 'cup half empty' people. You know what we did?
Moved! That is always an option...
A good player who has just gone up a notch IMHO. The work he did leading up to his goal in the last qtr showed his focus for the ball is right up with Thommo and other more senior players. Just what Craigie would like i'm sure.
No sure but its a lot bigger than 40m x 50m. I'd hazard a guess of 60mx80m (4800sqm)

Looks great.
I have however noticed that the space for gathering after match is a 'whopping' 2000sqm. It seems a lot, but in comparison to The Shed, its tiny, only 40mx 50m. Hardly big enough for the thousand plus people expected after a good win...
Your thoughts?
I have to say, I agree with most of the review.
One of the most brutal games (in recent times) that i have been privileged to watch. The Power had to come out firing and did. I thought in some cases at the expense of hitting the ball hard. Most of the bumps were fine, but yes Pettigrew's was...
Great thread. After all the supposed doom and gloom about Hudson, Welsh and co leaving, it is great to know others are as excited about next year as I am. There will be a bit of pain to start with, but then again maybe not, our issue over the past few years have been not kicking enough goals...
Reading some of the threads I notice the AFL have the NSW Scholarship (see http://collingwoodfc.com.au/Season2007/Players/Scholarship/tabid/10154/Default.aspx).
With this we have Talyor Walker, who is hopefully going to be a young gun (key position player). Under this scholarship each AFL team...
I'd say its a refresh, as a rebuild implies a complete turnover of key positions and a majority of players. 9 out of 38 is significant, but not earth shattering. I can't accept the "Victorian way" of throwing seasons, would much prefer to be in with a chance(of finals) ever year. Just look...
From my perspective, well summed up Spectrumrt.
I too am satisfied with the meat swapping season. I do think the Mattner trade put us on the back foot early, hence the reason for concentrating the rest of the time to find a replacement. Symes is a nice replacement btw, also supported the Crows...
Now this is a great idea and one that has been around for a while. I would have thought near the Keswick train station would be an ideal place.
Unfortunately, there are many people, Organisations and governments that have invested plenty of time and, more significantly, more money in Football...
