I think Wil Wagner from The Smith Street Band had the Carlton Football Club in mind when he penned these lyrics:
'Things get better but they never get good'
It's a bitter pill.
I think we miss Saad a significant amount. His ability to not only halve contests, but subsequently turn them into attacking forays is quite brilliant.
Alas, the endeavour and intent is there. The difference between now and 12 months ago is immeasurable.
The Flaming Lips put on an awesome live show, one of the best in the business. Choosing The Flaming Lips over Metallica would be one of the easiest decision you would have to make in your life.
Led Zeppelin - Pure quality from the debut album onwards
Silverchair - From old to new making a smooth transition
The Who
The Boat People
You Am I
Magic Dirt
Not a huge fan of metal, but more into the blue prints of metal such as Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Metal has gradually gone down hill since the early days and today most metal is just awful altough Dream Theatre have their moments, infact Dream Theatre are the Jordan Russell of the music...
Yeah, not bad for a second gamer. I remember Dermott saying that he was only in his second game of footy but he was the most important player on the ground.
Lance Whitnall's 150th game against Hawthorn was a quality win.
Round 2, 2005 against Essendon was a great match thanks to the umpire when he said Scott Lucas played on - would've missed nonetheless.
Caroline Wilson is very good at dishing out criticism but when she gets some back in return she can't hack it and gets very defensive, it's an absolute disgrace.
Carlton has a quality midfield with great depth:
Juud
Stevens
Murphy
Simpson
Scotland
Walker
Carazzo
Bentick
Gibbs
Hadley
Houlihan
Blackwell
Russell
Grigg
Jackson
Even Betts can have a good run in the midfield eg 26 touches and 5 goals against Melbourne in round 22.
Any...
So all of a sudden West Coast and Adelaide have been around for bloody two minutes and they are apart of the so called "big 3". If they can keep up their on-field sucess, finance, membership base etc. for 100 years plus then they can be considered part of the "big 3". But at the moment it is...
Carlton kept on falling away in the first half of the season when we were 2 or 3 goals up for example against Collingwood round 7, Kangaroos round 8 and Adelaide Round 9. Falling away just didn't happen in the second half in which everyone likes to concentrate on and it's just disappointing that...
Thanks for the judgments, Caro.
The only poise that came out of the backline all year was from Scotland - all round quality and Walker.
But with help from the newly acquired Chris Judd, Gibbsy will justify his number one draft pick tag hopefully sooner rather than later.
Let's face it, Gibbs is a dud.
He hasn't played one good game of footy, even the round when he got the NAB Rising Star in round 10 against the Bulldogs he was a bit iffy.
Gibbs is slow, doesn't get enough of the pill and turns it over far too often and with a combined side of two dud teams...
