The Cobram Football Club and community was saddened today with the news that Club and MFL Legend Les Mogg passed away today.
Our thoughts are with the Mogg family.
7000 or 8000 population and only 2 Aussie Rules clubs!!!! Could fit Barooga,Tocumwal & Cobram into that and thats not counting the Picola League clubs plus soccer & rugby clubs!
Sounds like they should win it every year with that advantage.
But on a serious note Deni do develope their juniors...
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
[B]Things have gone very quiet guys.
Lets start the ball rolling as we come to the business end of the season.
Premiers- Cobram
Runners Up- Moama
O'Dwyer Medal- Bonghetti again
Dissapointment- Tongala
Has anyone got some information on Daniel Beattie that played down Warrnambool way.
He has moved to Nortern Victoria and training with a couple of Murray Leage Clubs.
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
Cobram playing Kerang and Tocumwal. Have heard there is only one division this year in the Barooga Nite series(Cobram not playing),has this concept perhaps run its race??
How has Ash Hockey been training at Mooroopna so far?He had a lot of issues last year with his legs that probally needed an operation over summer. He was only a shadow of his best last year and couldn't cover anywhere near the ground he is capable of.
Will he be a wasted talent if he doesn't...
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
Talk of finely signing three big names out of melbourne very good players. Thats not including crawfords crew. they have also signed four ex-locals that also can play, a bloke from barooga and more to come.
All clubs recruit to top up their local talent NT...
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
If the other five clubs offered him money etc well and good. He is apparently considering what to do after Xmas, his call.
If he chooses to stay at Berrigan or move and try a higher standard , good luck to him.:)
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
Some very inacurate rumours SP! You need to check your information before getting on hear. Cobram have not spoken to Marcus.
As for the Berrigan camp saying Cobram offered Gorman $500 - get real!!!
He apparently was keen to do a pre season and make up his...
The new coach has had a fair crack at his old club Numurkah approaching everyone but the water boys. Fair enough I suppose except the Blue Boys
take exception to there juniors being targeted!
The Bombers must be on the spend if Cowan is getting $700 a game!!!!!!!
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
Sounds like the boys had a big day out and caused a bit of trouble at Sods Pub as well. S G went for a ride as well as the coach:eek: It is the silly season!!:D
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
Eyewitness told me of two thrown in the back of the Divvy Van (cuffed as well ). Arresting copper looked as if he war won and not happy!! Not the pub but late hour nightclub. Coach would not be too happy, but then again he was one of them!!!
Interesting to...
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
Exactly right Murray B. This has happened on more than one occasion this year.
Complete waste of time for every one involved-Tribunal. Moama FC,Cobram FC & players. One umpire appears to have a real problem with certain players unfortunately.
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
That might be ok if certain players were treated equally!!! The treatment from Umpires of GVL players that Cobram have recruited this year has been staggering. They seem to have an agenda. At the end of the day they(Umpires) are well paid and should act...
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
It looks a little like they only want to play when they can put together a side of top age kids Big Kev.
Good on the Nathalia's,Tocs & Rumba's who turn up each year and play dispite their size and numbers. I'm sure they would have liked to have a turn when...
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
Blues coach Brett Armstrong is confident his side can knock off the unbeaten Tigers, particularly with the match being played at Tongala.
``They have obviously had four wins straight,'' he said.
``But I think we will do quite well against them.
``They have...
