Good to see a few clubs have already started training this week. Its going to be an intersting year. Could be one of the closest compeitions we've seen in Premier Division with the likes of Terrigal keen to back to back.
Cariff and City will xontinue to be strong forces, but it will be...
I think City had 6 playing who wouldn't be in their strongest squad. But you can only play who is on the field on that day.
I think Terrigal look slow and with an aging group it's this year or never.
Cardiff seem to have a good mix, but it's whether or not they can keep players on the park...
Most clubs have access to a video camera or they can apply for one of the many grants on offer to all clubs - I know of at least 5 clubs within the region who have received grants in the last 2 yrs.
A great free video editing program is www.kinovea.org which is avaliable to anyone with a...
City, Cariff & Terrigal would be nowhere near Syd Prem Division and would play Div 1 football however the regions u23s rep team could play Prem Div.
KV, WB would be in the Sydney Div 2 competition. Lets not kid ourselves exactly where Newcastle footy is at. The main problem in the BDAFL is...
Kilarney Vale will be lucky to drop a match in Div 2 if early season is anything to guage by. Numerous 2011 1's players will play div 2 this year due to large number of younger guys coming through the club.
They will be expecting nothing less than the silverware...
From the display Singleton showed on the weekend against an under strength City last weekend I wouldn't think they'll be in the top 3. To only score a single behind in 3x20 min periods woud have to be of great concern. Maybe the grading is correct. City had more than half a dozen missing and to...
I was told the 23s match was more competitive than the score indicated, it was just the game structure Balmain had was the difference. The 23s wasn't anywhere near our best group but Balmain did had their WA and TAS boys playing.
No Cardiff (not allowed) or Kilarney Vale (trial match but wahed...
Makes for some interesting reading looking at the 2012 clearances - could be some impressive imports to the region which would certainly be a positive for the league.
No shit here - maybe you're just out of the loop at the club now, it has been a while. Three young blokes have been training at Maitland for a number of weeks - they seem very content from what I hear.:thumbsu:
Cheese and Beetroots are playing St George this weekend.
It's interesting that they won't allow any of their players to train or play with the u23s development team - that's probably why a few keys players have walked to Maitland - sick of the egos and tantrums!!
Apparently the website wont accept articles in the current form or design because the server needs updating to the latest technology, hope it gets sorted some time soon:eek:
On a different topic - someone please update the website !!
Maybe Deitzy's responsible for it, that's why the Warners Bay article has had pride of place for the last week and a half ....... haha jks Deitzy
Maybe Deitzy, but maybe the clubs should stop being such pri madonna's and just play footy like everyone else does across the country. Its amazing that its the fourth strongest code in the region down there and yet its the only one which whinges about their teams being seperated.
Perhaps the...
Re: Black Diamond AFL - 2011
Its because of people like you that the league (code) stagnates. You take YOUR finger out of your bum and get involved!
Let me tell you something. Its because there few visionaries that things dont happen.
OK, some of my ideas might be a little difficult...
The problem with the league is that the older players are to set in their ways and are happy bobbing along in football and life and the better younger players are leaving the region. Whilst people in the region down there won't take risks the standard will continue to drop because you will be...
A few whispers here up north are:
Cardiff - Bailey again
KV - Todd Clarke (2011 u18s) & Corey Shackleton will be co-coaching
to add to the already confirmed appointments at LM, NB and Terrigal.
There's also a few CC youngsters been seen around up here - the likes of Jay Lewis & James...
How unusual for the BDAFL to have a grubby player found guilty of an offence and then cry foul. The only injustice done was the fact that there were no other reports made for the other grubby acts by the same player in the same match.
I'm sure the Marlin players will have long memories!!
If people throughout club land weren't so narrow minded, we would have a team in the Sydney Premier Division next season, Sydney have already made the invite.
Problem is everyone is about themselves and never interested in what is better for the region. By putting a combined BDAFL team into...
Black & White Champ -
Gosford - no players & no money = no game ie. good decision made
Singo - Criticising others + not getting backyard in order = egg on face
Hope u can understand the true FACTS
